RedStone Law Group- (Nicole Hal/lDannette Merit/Emily Phillips) Foreclosure/Loan Modification Defense Scam Jacksonville Florida

We had received a letter from Safepoint Financial, who had somehow received a A- in the BBB report. We were eventually led to a woman named Nicole Hall. She basically just told us exactly what we wanted to hear. That they could lower our interest rate to 2.5% with a loan modification and they would do all the work for us. At first, we were going through Ameritrust Law Group. But then she threw us a curveball and said we would now be using RedStone Law Group. I stupidly didn't catch the bait and switch tactic and went ahead with it.

We paid a $2000.00 retainer fee and then signed a contract to pay $800.00 a month for the length of time it took. We were then handed off to a woman named Dannette Merit, our "case manager". She had us fill out a bunch of paper work and other items and then basically disappeared. A few weeks later, her "assistant" Emily Phillips asked for one more piece of paperwork, but didn't say anything else. All the while (about a period of 2+ months) I was trying to get some sort of update, whether it be through voicemails or emails, but received no responses. Finally I put a stop payment on the recurring payment becuase I knew it had to be a scam. Two days ago my wife received a call from a woman named Alexis. saying that we should basically start making our mortage payments after the collections company made us an offer to start trial payments. So they did nothing and took $3600.00 from us. They take advantage of people when they are in need. Hopefully no one else falls for their scam.
