I pulled into the Einstein Bros. parking lot at 3455 N Clark St. Upon walking up to the building, I realized it closed at 5:30 PM. It was 8:30 PMish on a Tuesday. I instead, went next door to Dimo's pizza where my friend manages, to grab a slice for dinner. By the time I had gotten back to my car, literally no more than 4 minutes (there was no line at Dimo's, it was 30 ft from my car, and my friend gave me a free slice so there was no check out), my car was gone. I would not be filing this complain if it were not for the fact that my dog was in the car. He is a tall, 50 lb. dog...not hard to miss. Not only did they tow my car in <4 minutes when the parking lot was 100% empty and the business had been closed for 3 hours, but they did not even check the car before they towed it. I immediately hoped in a cab and drove the 4 miles over to Rendered Services Inc North. I was furious when I arrived, not because my car was towed, but because of the BLATANT negligence on the towing company's part. The receptionist who made me pay $200 to get my car out showed no sense of remorse for the fact that my dog was in the car. Instead, she blamed me for being an irresponsible dog owner. She was completely rude. I am the most responsible dog owner there is, I would never leave my dog alone for more than just running into a fast food joint. What if that had been a child in the car and not a dog? A 5-6 year old is certainly not taller and no more obvious than my dog sitting in the front seat. What if my dog had a health condition? This could have been a very bad situation. It is completely unacceptable that they would not check for a child/dog before towing the car. My dog is normally not a skiddish dog...not afraid of anything or anyone. Very happy and friendly. I found him shaking on my seat and whimpering. The poor thing was scared to death because he knows I would never abandon him like that. Not only that, but I did not deserve to be towed. I intended to go to Einstein's. They must of been sitting, watching me, ran up as soon as I entered Ian's, and towed my car. They are money hungry, rude, indecent business, with no regard for animal or child safety. They are completely irresponsible and this is unacceptable.

3 minutes? Really?

If you're going to complain you should, at the very least, tell the truth. Try more like 20 from the time of tow til the first call. And share the fact that you first began the conversation with vulgar language and the demand that the" f***ing retarded driver" bring your car back. When that didn't work you procedded to inform the trained Dispatcher that your dog was sick and your stop was an extreme emergency. I'm not a veterinarian but I can't possibly imagine what ailment "a slice" would cure. Upon arrival the vulgarity continued. You stood at that window screaming that people were "f***ing Retarded" but then again you equating your leaving a dog with that of leaving a "5-6 yr old" in a locked vehicle, alone, in an empty & dark parking lot explains it all. The bottom line is this. You cant park your vehicle on private property and walk away. That would be like me parking in your driveway and leaving. I'm sure that the outcome would be unpleasant. There is a reason these companies hunt down service from relocation agencies. Allow me to close by saying I hope your poor puppy never has to endure such a horrific experience again.
