I hired this company in June 2019 and paid $830 USD upfront in full to develop 5 deliverables - and I didn't receive any of them:

1.       A master resume

2.       A keyword tailored ATS-scored resume based on 1 job description

3.       A customized cover letter

4.       An optimized LinkedIn profile

5.       Some video instructions

The company dropped me as a client, citing ‘too many delays’ and ‘spending too many hours on this project’, despite the fact that the delays were known up front before I hired them, and the ‘too many hours’ they spent on the project were due to the continuous issues/problems/errors with their work.

When I engaged the company, I informed the CEO I was heading overseas for 4 months and would have limited availability to work with her on my resume until I returned home in September – mainly due to limited access to Internet and computer. The CEO was agreeable and said that their usual 30-day turnaround for doing this work would not apply to me given my situation.

While I was overseas, I worked on my resume whenever I could, however, the copies I received from the company were fraught with continual quality issues like version mix-ups, ignored/missed edits/comments/questions, poor quality of work (run on sentences, not understanding my job, etc.) When I raised these issues, they were often ignored or missed, and I was continually pushed onto the ‘next version’ of my resume (which of course had numerous issues).

In October, I spoke to the CEO on the phone and she acknowledged the issues and said we would start the process over again with my original resume. But after the first round of revision on this ‘do-over attempt’, there were again problems; my resume revisions on page 1 had been entirely ignored/missed. When I pointed this out, the CEO abruptly abandoned me as a client, citing ‘too many delays since June’ and ‘spending too many hours on this project’.

After communicating my shock at this, especially given the issues were 100% obvious on their end, her team said they would provide me with deliverables #3 & 4, but these had to be done immediately within a few days as they were closing down for Christmas, and it was my last chance to get this done. I questioned how they would create these deliverables without having a completed deliverable #1, but they never responded and nothing was done.

I haven’t received a usable resume nor any of the other deliverables that I paid for. I have requested a fair and partial refund from this company on several occasions. However, the CEO has indicated a ‘no refund policy’ and says they used up my money working on multiple versions of my resume. She refuses to acknowledge the numerous quality issues on her end which ate up the budget.
