I purchased a 2013 Honda CBR1000rr from Rick Case Honda. I did not get approved through American Honda Finance so they put me through a lease company called MotoLease. MotoLease sent me a decline letter because I lived outside of the State of Florida. I took the letter in to Rick Case and the Finance director informed me that I had to get a Florida Address even though I lived in Georgia. He was said it can be a relative or a friends address. I gave them my brothers address. The dealer knew I did not live at that address and they still mailed my license plate to that address.

A requirement of MototLease is that the bike have a GPS tracking device on it. The dealership never told me about this tracking device until the day of delivery when it was in the shop being installed. I get the bike home to Georgia after having it transported from the dealership and guess what? The brand new bike wont start with 1 mile on it wont start. They released a bike to me that would not even work. How nice of them. I have it towed to a Honda Cycle dealer here and they tell me the battery is shot. They replaced the battery for me. By the time the bike is towed back home, the battery is dead again. The tow truck brings the bike back to dealer. THe dealer looks at bike and says this tracking device is killing your battery.  I called MotoLease and they tried their absolute hardest to make things right. Rick case on the other hand told me "You purchased the bike nothing we can do". MotoLease sent a new tracking device to dealer and covered all expenses.

Unfortunately the bike is still having the same problems.I filed a complaint with several florida agencies and they have all attempted to investigate. I received a letter back stating Rick Case will not cooperate. Really? I disputed the charge on my credit card for the entire down payment (on the gounds of an issue with a product, service, or merchant) and my bank, Bank of America, investigated and found Rick Case to be in the wrong and refunded my $2,500 back to me. I felt a little vindication. Rick Case sent a letter to the Florida Attorney General Stating they told me to but a battery charger that I have to plug the bike into the wall and charge it if it ever kills the battery. They never told me this and if they did, I would have never purchased the bike. Imagine having to push a dead bike across the street to a service station, charge the batter up, and then once its charged continue to your destination. Also keep in mind it can take 24 hours to charge. Not acceptable.

When purchasing from this dealer, please use caution as they will not assist you in any way after you have made the purchase.

This is the email I received when the state tried to investigate:
