After my nephew came and stayed with us for the holiday weekend, I noticed that my computer was really slow. It was taking a forever to start and wouldn't go to my Yahoo mail page. My husband then called a Rockford PC to set up an appointment. He found that we did indeed have a virus and would need to have it removed. We took it to them and after about a week and a half were able to pick it back up. We paid and we left and went home. I didn't think to check their work and didn't end up using the computer for a day or two. When I did finally turn it on it was the same thing. Slow to start, slow to use the internet and now it wouldn't shut off. I called the Rockford PC and made another appointment to drop it off again. When we arrived they mentioned that we'd have to pay another "service fee".

I objected because we had already paid them for not fixing the problem originally. After some discussion we left and we still had a bad computer. My husband mentioned maybe we should just buy a new one. My daughter then suggested calling someone else to fix the 2 year old Dell. My daughter looked up a few companies and called around and priced what it would cost to have someone fix it properly. Just so happened we talked to our neighbor and he said his kids a wiz, we decided sure "Why not" it wouldn't be any worse. He came over for few hours and said he pulled out one trojan and replaced six opperating system files that were altered with something called a root kit. What?, Rockford PC didn't see them? or just to lazy to check? Needless to say the computer has never worked better, no thanks to Rockford PC!
