Ross dress for less does not care about there customers satasfaction, I bought a large cake pan everware wich is a very good brand but for some reason the non stick coating started bubbling up, so I tried to return it to the store, they would not exchange for another or anything, they said thats there policy & can not do anything with out a reciept, I think if they wanted to make there customers happy they would do at least do a even exchange, so I walked put of the store leaving the pan behind, loosing $21.50 I will never shop at Ross dress for less ever again, & hope everyone else will considere the same. In Vancouver, WA

The reason they cannot take it back

You must understand the type of store that Ross is. Ross receives leftover merchandise that never sold from stores like Wal-Mart, Target, JC Pennys, etc. They do not receive any merchandise directly from the manufacturer. Therefore, they cannot accept used items as a return. They cannot return it to the manufacturer and they cannot resell a used item. If you have a problem with an item you bought from Ross, take it up with the manufacturer. It is not Ross's fault and they cannot do anything to fix the situation, Ross is simply a middle man.

Contacting customer service for help

Hi there, sorry to hear about your bad luck with the cake pan. I understand that you went into the store for an exchange, or refund, but they would not fulfill this request. I think the person you spoke with probably felt obligated to follow Ross' store policy about not refunding or exchanging items without a receipt.
With that being said, I think you could have reached out to Ross in other ways for help with your situation. Did you try e-mailing or calling Ross' customer service department before going into the store? I think they could have told you about their in-store policies, and even helped you with your situation without having to go into the physical store.
You might want to consider calling or e-mailing their customer service department even now after the in-store employees were unable to help. Oftentimes, companies provide dedicated customer service departments with a little more leeway in what they can offer consumers to help remedy a situation.

Proof?

Without a Receipt what proof do you have that you bought the pan from them? Without a Receipt what proof do you have of when you bought the pan? The answer to both of those is of course none. Without a receipt for all they know you bought the pan at another store and have been using it for the last 6 months.
Have you tried contacting the Manufacturer directly to see if they will cover it under a warranty situation?

Did you use this pan?? If so then they are right in not taking it back. I would not like to buy a used cake pan from any store and I suggest you learn how to spell.
