 Samsung does not honor its warranty, which is one year for all phones. There is good news though! ARBITRATION! In my case, my phone had "sudden death syndrome" meaning it just "died." Upon returning it for repair, it was immediately returned due to "Liquid damage beyond economic repairability." This is false. My phone was never wet. Upon reading their contract, you (the consumer) may arbitrate any claim against them at little or zero cost (in California) or depending on your financial situation. At most, for claims under $5000, you pay $50. They pay the balance, which could mount to the tens of thousands. At minimum, it is $1300. Do you see the advantage? To find your contract, simply google the model number plus the word arbitration. And while they seemingly only cover the cost of the phone, your State and Federal Laws protect you further for damages. See their last paragraph: "If any portion of this Limited Warranty is held to be illegal or unenforceable, such partial illegality or unenforceability shall not affect the enforceability of the remainder of the Limited Warranty." To file a claim, simply go to WWW. ADR.ORG and look for the Consumer Demand form. I then mailed my complaint to Samsung and to AAA. Within several weeks, they will more than likely settle with a new phone and/or a payment, or they will be facing thousands in costs.
