I checked out my bank and found a pending transfer as follows:

Even if they say they'll run a credit report for a dollar they wil wait to take out additional fees without warning.
Scam is known as Bait and Switch.

Do you have any proof that you cancelled within the first 7 days? That's how you avoid the monthly fees.
