When I received the graduation packet from New Madrid County Central High School, I saw that the prices were very high. I about croaked! $45.50 for a table cloth with a zipper, cap and tassel. I can go to Wal Mart and make my own for much much less.
What infuriated me the most however was when a friend up the road in Cape Girardeau received their packet for the same graduation products. For the exact same packages, products, everything, Cape Girardeau came in $18.00 cheaper!!!!
Why!?! Why does location matter? You would think that we at New Madrid deserve the same treatment as those thing the bigger town of Cape Girardeau!
It saddens but also infuriates me to think I have to pay so much more for the same stuff.

I don't know the whole story but even Dr Phil says no matter how flat the pancake, there are still two sides. I would be upset about overcharge too, but is it possible there is another side? Often schools use these things as fundraisers. Yearbooks, class rings, graduation announcements. So the school makes a profit from sales.
Is it possible that the school decided what the markup would be? Are you absolutely certain that Mark Williams did this? Or did Jostens? Or was it the school.
Mark is a friend of mine from long ago, and although it's possible he did something wrong, I just can't imagine it. I hope it turns out that it's the school.
