Googling Mr Simon Smith will return quite a large number of, at first glance, impressive results and achievements.

However, his LinkedIn profile and numerous website and self-promiting 'media releases' list more credentials and certifications than most universities are able to provide. It could be that Mr Simon Smith is the most qualified man on the planet when it comes to cyber security matters. However, given the downright hostile, agressive and threatening nature of Mr Smith when questions are raised about his education there is little doubt that these are faked.

The other 'qualifications' Mr Smith pupports to hold (as per his linkedIn):

C|BP, CCIB, CBD, CBE, CEE, PRM, ITIL, CIRS & SSBB, AML/CTF KYC Certifications"

Are a number of 'certifications' obtained online in an afternoon.

Some background investigation performed by a private investigator after one dealing with Mr Smith revealed that he had in face previously run a different organisation (RPL Central) specializing in 'recognition of prior learning' to fast track qualifications. This would have allowed Mr Smith to quickly build a very impressive looking, but not genuinely earned, set of qualifications.

It also appears, based on that research, that Mr Smith is potentially involved in some kind of tax fraud. My private investigator's findings have been forwarded to the ATO for further investigation.

Mr Smith paints himself as an expert mediator, but is simply unable to control himself when people question his credentials, the quality of his work or his skills. This is quite surprising as while he is a terrible 'expert witness', 'mediator', 'investigator' or many of the other things he claims to be, he is absolutely the most vexatious persuer of trivial matters. This man, Simon Smith has gone to unbelieveable lengths to scrub any singular possible criticism of him from the internet. He has manage to get domain names from 'bullet proof DNS providers' taken down, he's managed to get servers pulled, content redacted and more. Not because any of them were committing any possible crime, but because he threatened, abused and outright bullies any and everyone who dare say a bad thing about him.

He often invites people to call him, if you have any doubt, I suggest you do and try and have both a reasonable conversation with him and enquire about his credentials.

My honest theory is that Simon Smith is a genuninely unwell man. He should seek mental health professionals and stop putting himself forward as both an expert witness in legal matters (something that may result in convictions being overturned or quashed due to his lack of actual expert knowledge) and should stop putting himself forward as a 'TV expert'.

Looking at the other review on this site, I can see that Simon has already bullied the administrators of this staff into making changes and redactions as he demands it. I'm genuinely surpirsed that the site kept the pages at all, so kudos to them for standing up to it and not caving in to what I assume was a flood of fake DMCA takedowns.

It's also worth noting that Simon Smith loves to use sockpuppet accounts, the replies (the 'ex-employees' (mr smith works alone!)) are all the handiwork of Simon. I'm reliably informed that Mr Smith also operates a nubmer of similar fake acocunts for LinkedIn to boost his presence.

You may choose to deal with Simon Smith 'the eVestigator', but be aware that you will be dealing with a compulsive liar, vexatious litigant and a genuinely unstable man who is unable to handle any and all criticial feedback.

Simon is genuinely an unstable man, even if he has a certain, and occasionally in demand, set of skills with regards to taking down unwanted content from the interent.

In regards to how I came to deal with Simon in the first place, we hired him to do some investigative work after my mother got scammed. I cannot say more than that at this time as we are investigating persuing legal action against Mr Smith.
