We purchased 2 new outdoors solar lights for $447.03 on 7/4/2014 from Smarthome.com. The items were supposed to ship within 1 or 2 business days. The company is located in Irvine, CA, and we live in California so we should have received the item within 2 days.
However, we received the items 2 weeks later. We contacted the Smarthom.com repeatedly, and they were hard to get a hold of. WE tried to cancel, but they would not let us, and I really wish they did.
Today, the shipment arrived poorly packaged. The boxes look like someone packaged them in their garage. We started opening the boxes and were shocked to see the items appear to have been actually used and are damaged to a point where they are not usable. They were not damaged in shipment.
We contacted Smarthome.com right away; they said they will notify the company that actually shipped them to us. It looks like Smarthome is selling stuff they do not have nor have they inspected to make sure it is new.
We filed a complaint with the BBB, Yelp, and this website.
We will never buy anything from them again. Never.
