If you ever need a mover, WATCH OUT FOR A SCAMER. They will give you a reasonable rate just to bait you, sweet talk you until the day your belongings and furniture are on their truck. The next day you get a call telling you the weight is more and if you don't pay the extra amount your belongings are held as hostage. A bait and switch tactic. This happen to my daughter who was moving from Oakdale, CA to Florida.

I got involved with this company because I was paying the bill for her. The weight over doubled. There was one lie after another. Joey, the Customer Service and Ben the dispatcher said your daughter belongings are being put on another truck. What is the name of the other truck? They would not tell. Can I have the phone number? All answers I was told NO.

Her belongings were picked up on September 1st and on September 15th 2 weeks later the truck still hadn't left California. I sent the extra money under protest but no matter what, the mover is in control.

Almost two more weeks, I get a phone call from Shawn who says he will deliever the belongings the next day but he wants CASH or a Postal Money Order for the remaining balnce which was $1,000. This Shawn would not tell me the name of his truck or where is was located or even what state he was in. The next day I was to meet him at the weight station, which was already arranged with Joey. The weight station was only 15 miles from my house. Shawn the truck driver who I finally found out he was driving a rental truck from South Coast Carriers of Weston, FL would not meet me at the convenient weight atation, he wanted me to drive 2 hours someplace. This is a nother tactic to get more money from you. I wouldn't do it. He tells me, you are going to do things my way, not your way.

Soon as I met him at the weight station he ask for the $1,000 Posta, Money Order, I said no, you have to unkoad at my daughter house first.......well, he was a big bully, drove off but came back.  He was supposed to pay for the weight but no, he ordered me to pay or no delievery. At the house he would not open his trailer door until he got the $1,000........ then he says, I am going to give you a hard time, I am not moving one item in the house, I am putting it on the driveway and that is that. Now, my husband is 81 years old, handicapp with a heart condition, my son in law has two bad knees and handicapp, do you think this Shawn cared. He was ugly to us, a big loud mouth, bullying us and hateful. All of the boxes had been opened , many things were broken and damaged, the mattress which had been wrapped and the couch was wrapped was gone. Their was an extra charge for the wrapping and tape of $500........... just a bunch of scammer.

Talk about a day in H*LL, that's exactly what it was...... the abuse we had to endure was awful. These people never paid taxes because they want cash,. The Southcoast Carrier has no DOT number, operates unauthorized........... something needs to be done.
