Stafford County Police Officer Officer Reed Bad Experience stafford, Virginia

I'm 23 yrs old , single mother of a baby boy 2 yrs old which I love so much and don't know what I would do without him. he is my world, my focus, my drive to succeed, my everything.  I'm successful in my career and studing for my sscp exam.

I do however have a horrible experience that i will never forget...

When I was about 14 or 15 yrs old, my aunt and uncle had custody of me. I grew up with them. I call them mama and daddy and still do to this day. I love them very much and unstand fully that raising me and taking me in as a child they did out of the kindness of their hearts and I will never take them for granted and they know I love them and don't know what I would do and where i would be today if I didn't have them as parents.

My birth mother how ever isn't the greatest person in the world. She's been on and off drugs her whole life and as a hand full of children only one of which she has cared for sense birth. another of which she only cared for a short period of time, that one is only a yr younger than i am...

right when she got her i wanted to spend time with my two sisters and hang out for the weekend. she lived in someone elses house not paying rent in garrisonwoods. (we were rather confident she wasn't on drugs at this time and i was driving my parents nuts about visiting my sisters that i never got to see)

my younger sister who is just like my birth mother slammed the door in her friends face that had been knocking on the door for about 2 minutes...I told her she needed to calm down and there was no reason to get all worked up..she began to run her mouth to me yelling, my birth mother came to the top of the stairs, my sister that had slammed the door said i was arguing with her and lied about something i can't recall. my birth mom looked at me with the dirtest look and i said 'all i have to say is you really need to get her undercontrol"

that one statement was enough to send her off her handle, hauling down the stairs after me screaming and yelling. I ran into the kitchen and huddled down in the corner with my face toward the ground. she started hitting me in my back, on my sides and on the back of my head and reaching around grabbing my face with her nails scretching me. She then went for my throat which i tried to just burry my face in my arms. right as she broke through my arms and was going for my throat a grabbed her wrist and turned my head and bit her arm.

she pulled back and was yelling and screaming calling me a "b*tch" and saying she was calling the cops.

(while i was being attacked by her my other sister that had just came there to live was behind her trying to pull her off of me screaming "no" "dont hurt her" "stop".

she called the cops and told them this crazy so far from the actual truth story. while i was sitting in the back of the emt unit with blood all of over face and in alot of pain. I said i didn't want to go to the hospital and i was fine and one of the emt's helped me clean up while my birth mom was telling her crazy story to the cop. (officer reed)

At that point I just wanted to call my parents and go home. My birth mother never told him i was just visiting that she didn't have custody of me nor did she even have visitation rights either.

Officer Reed then came to me as a was walking up the side walk to go call my parents, stopped me and was telling me i needed to stop attacking my mother and how I was sooo lucky i wasn't going to jail and how if he ever got a call again i was going to jail etc etc. He NEVER ONCE allowed me to speak. not even to tell my side of the story.  I tried to tell him more than once that i was just visiting for the weekend but every time he cut me off and told me he didn't want to hear what i had to say and that he was speaking.

he made me go inside and my birth mother had cut the phone cord to the phone, there was only one phone and it had to have the cord, it wasn't wireless. so while inside i couldn't even call while she talked to him more.

All the cops left, he was the main one handling everything. when everyone left I kept saying i just wanted to go home and didn't want to be there anymore. I was in pain my face was all messed up. I just wanted to go home. she told me she couldn't call my parents because she cut the phone cord because everyone was "grounded" (on restriction) from using the phone.

I got left there..Officer reed was so dead set that i was just some horrible kid in the getto and didn't let me say a word. I should have talked to another officer so i could tell them that i was only visiting for the weekend and she had no legal rights or custody of me. and that my parents needed to be contracted and they should have stayed there and kept me in one of the cruisers until my parents showed up.

To me I feel like because of profiling and not listening to me he didn't understand i needed to be removed from the dangerous situation and released to my parents to go home. I was very disappointed and depressed and felt like there was no one to help or protect me that night.

I'm all grown up now, and i have a couple of friends that work for stafford county police metro. d.c. police and fairfax police which they are all great people and amazing officers, none of which know this situation happened to me. I'm still very hurt by this situation to this day. its something i will never forget.

My biggest thing is if something happens and he comes to the scene request to speak to someone else if you are right in the situation. because he wont let you speak and in my option thinks all kids are bad and wrong in any situation he responds to. (if you a kid your screwed)  and I hope that if my son ever goes over to a friends or anywhere when he gets a little older that he is retired because i would be terrified.

My parents came and got me at the end of the weekend and i was hauling a** to leave. when I got in the car, before they could even ask what was wrong with my face i started going off about the whole situation that happened, they were so mad. my daddy who is a big guy went and confronted her about it. (she's a big girl too haha bikerb*itch type) We never contacted the county about what happened but my birth mom get ripped a new one for lying to the cops and not telling them she didn't have custody of me and they needed to call my guardians.

I'm not saying that all of stafford is bad and not doing their jobs right because like i said I have a few friends that work for stafford police and they are great people, great with my son, and kind hearted and good at their job. However I think Reed needs to be removed...he left a kid in a dangerous situation because he only took one side of the story from a bikerb*tch with tattoo's everyone, rather opening his eyes and seeing how I was all messed up, what he said was he saw the bit mark and she was defending herself, another thing is he could have pulled her record and saw her history of trouble and maybe then could have thought maybe I should talk to the little girl and see what she says because the mother isn't dependable on getting a clear and truthful from.

Point being...If your looking for law enforcement to protect your in a dangerous situation. Don't think Officer reed will help. because he wont and request for someone else to manage the case/situation.
