SW Auto Storage, LLC Towed my car no notice in person or mail. Dallas Texas

On September 29th, I received a orange sticker on my vehicle, saying that my tags were expired and that i have to remove the vehical by 10/09/16. On 10/10/16 I arrived home for around 645pm and was home for about 45 mins, and when my fiance arrived home, she asked me where my car was. I had no idea. called the police and they informed me that our car was stolen. I provided them with the correct information (car make, model, license number. etc). they then informed me that my car has been stolen. They gave me the number to the towing company, and i contacted them. 

Once contacted i spoke with Alysia, who gave me directions to them and the total of how much it would cost to retrieve my vehicle. I then arrived to location around 840pm to retrieve my vehicle.

I had not prior received a in person warning, nor certified mail warning that they vehical would be towed. Under code 2308.253 it states that 'if your vehicle is towed for an expired inspection and/or registration owner did not recieve an certified letter from the apartment complex, your vehicle was illegally towed'
