Techless is a company that has came up with a program for a cellphone-Motorola-MOTO E 2020 is the phone they sell for $399.00 

It is advertised as a phone that allows one to be more connected and 'present' with others, and less time on a phone.  The phone has a white screen. 

They do not sell carrier plans, but tell you which ones the phone is compatabile with. 

While it looks like a smartphone, you can only make calls and texts with it.  You cannot download apps, or surf the internet.  It does have a camera, though not a great one.  If you're purchasing one for a kid, there is a 'Family Portal' where you create an account and can see all calls to and from the phone, as well as read all text messages.  It has a 'location,' which is supposed to show you where the phone (your child) is at all times. 

We thought this would be a great phone for a young teenager, and it would be if it did all it is advertised to. 

In the beginning, their customer service was great.  Now, not so much.  There have been some emails I've sent concerning issues with the phone that are never answered.  I have asked if others are having the problems we are with no reply.

The phone worked okay (not quite as advertised) for approx. 2 months.  Then, more serious problems. 

The 'location' (tracking) only worked one time.  The phone constantly 'glitches.'  When we tap on "phone" or "messages" to either make a call or a text, the screen goes to all white, and then to all black while not opening the desired screen.  The battery runs down after very little use.  This phone is less than 8 months old. 

The Family Portal doesn't always show all calls and texts.  Many times, the ones it does show are delayed for up to a few hours. 

Techless now isn't answering my emails, which is very very disappointing.  The teenager now says that no phone would almost be better than one that doesn't work correctly.  The teen is referring to not being able to make calls or texts consistantly.
