I bought a knee brace in August, returned it the same day. Never got a refund, after endless phone calls, emails etc I was told they had never recieved the package. They said I had no RA (I did) no tracking number (I did) etc etc etc. As of this morning I recieved a partial PayPal refund. They kept $47.00 for "restocking" fee after all this.

Then I got a phone call from Stephanie the customer rep who (while I was sipping my morning coffee) freaking out on the phone about how I was being treated like "any other customer" (That is sad) and I would not get any more money back. When I protested she said it was Yom Kipper and I should repent, that she was 8 1/2 months pregnant and the stress was not good for her. She said I used profanity (no) and through in everything she could think of to keep my partial refund.

I have dealt with lousy customer service before, but this takes the cake. If I repent my sins I will not include the Brace Shop...thank you very much.

Customer threatened to receive money

This customer received her money back as soon as she called to let us know she never received her refund.  We asked for her return authorization # which she did not have on the phone when she called us.  I went and found her package among thousands of boxes and credited her back within 24 hours.  She is upset about the restocking fee she agreed to when originally placing her order.  She is posting personally identifiable information and I have emails stating if she doesn't get her money back in full she will continue to harass us until we do.  This is not a nice thing to do a business.  The fact that she repeated that I am pregnant at 8 1/2 months and told me to bend down on my knees and pray tells you that she is not a very nice woman and feels she should be treated differently than everyone else.  It is also not nice to yell and scream at a pregnant woman. I asked her to please stop and she said "watch me."  Threatening a business is very immature and we do everything we can to help our customers. We are human beings that care but when someone is this mean, we can do nothing but tell our other customers that we are sorry that we couldn't spend more time with you so that we have to respond to this nonsense.

 

The Brace Shop cares about their customers and would never do anything deceitful or hurtful.  This is unfortunately the world we live in.  I wish this customer the best but I can promise you that we respond to every complaint no matter how outrageous they are.  We actually had to report this customer to her local authority for harassment.

We are not machines.  We do everything we can to make a situation right.  Just know that of the 25 years we have been in business and the thousands of customers we help each day, to have a couple complaints is normal but we still care about every one of them and respond.
