"The Storage Center "located on Red Bud Lane in Round Rock Texas where I rented a unit, paid in full, and had my personal property stored, was denied entry by the store manager unless I pay $150 for allegedly leaving trash in front of the unit, which I deny to the fullest. I felt like I was being extorted. The corporation, "Brookwood Properties" located in Baton Rouge LA also has refused to release my property unless I paid $75 because the manager of the unit has a picture of trash in front of my unit. My opinion is this is a frivolous scam upon the consumer. I think the manager of the property tried to extort money from me. I was nice and gave him some things when I moved into the storage unit and he took my kindness as a weekness and tried to take advantage of me. The facility is owned by Smith out of Baton Rouge La. I was locked out of my storage even though my rent was fully paid. He threatened to auction off my belongings unless I paid him $150 in cash. If there is another case like this out there with The Storage Center, please post it. I had to pay them off to get my stuff. Upon moving out my belongings were infested with their roaches. Now, after moving out and filing reports of complaints they are sending me bills as if I am still renting at their location. The running tally stands at $400+ THIS IS A SCAM BUSINESS IF I EVER SAW ONE!!!
