I have always had the feeling that Thomas M. Farrell with Affordable Office Equipment was a bit shady or just negligible. I originally found him online when my Xerox M20 printer broke down. He came out to my home, fixed the problem, and sold me a 1 year warranty. I figured that this would be okay but then 6 months later the copier broke down again. He told me that the parts were not covered in the agreement and that he would have to charge me for them.

Keep in mind the last agreement stated that everything but the paper was included. It seemed like every time he would visit my home office he was charging me for something. On his last visit he stated that he was mailing me a free toner also for all my trouble. When the toner never arrived I called him and he said to just call him when my toner ran low and he would come put a new one in since at the time I had toner I figured all was well and he would follow through.

When my toner ran out last week I called him and asked him to send the toner over. He said he would then I asked him if he had my address. He stated that he did not. At this point he was sounding kind of goofy but I gave him the address and hoped for the best once again. A week later when it had not arrived I called him and asked again where it was. He told me he forgot to ship it and that he would send it now. It's now been another week and still nothing. Now when I called him he picks up the phone and as soon as he realizes it's me he either hangs up or just puts the phone in his pocket. I have been calling him from different numbers and he will pick up and realize it's me and just do the same thing.

Bottom line this guy is a scam artist who I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy.
