Mid**** SP****, of St. Louis, MO is getting away with working people for little or no pay.  Today I had my second interview with Mid**** sp****. Before the interview; however, me and some other new hires had to spend the day shadowing a sales rep. They called it a day of observation where you go with a trainer all day, in the hot sun, as he goes around to different businesses selling S* Louis Car****** ticket coupons for 39.99 each.
They do not pay you for this full day of work, nor do they pay for anything you may need throughout the day. Before I left the office in Westport St. Louis and road with the training manager(M) to Fulton MO, my fellow hires and I had to sign a paper saying something about how we consent to participating in a day of observation from 9am to 5pm for which we would not get paid.
Throughout the day you I learned more about the kind of work that I would be doing and I realized that it was entirely commission. As an entry level sales rep I would make $9 on every 39.99 dollar Fan Appreciation Package I sold. That is it. Today we walked to probably 30 businesses in Fulton MO and only sold 2 packages.
The Hiring manager told me today that it would be possible to make 500 dollars a week, or even 100,000 a year. He said in order to make that kind of money I would need to first work for up to 6 months just selling these 40 dollar packages and having that be my only monetary income until my promotion to a managing position.
They expect me to come in tomorrow again for a third day of interviewing and shadowing. I asked if I would be able to make any money tomorrow and he said "Only if M is okay with it". then they said yes.
I then asked if I needed to bring in my social security card or anything so they could use it to employ me just like most companies. They said no, that I did not need it.
I found this company on a Careerbui***** site online and so did everyone who was working for them.
PS
I had a very very similar experience with a company called Genuine Digital in Kansas City MO. at a place that sold dish network service. They also had me shadow someone for a day and not make any money during that time. I did the same thing with that company that I am going to do with this one and that is, I'm not going to show up for the 3rd day of ever again.
It is unfortunate that I fell for this scam again. It is unfortunate that this is legal; to mislead young people who are entering the workforce. If anything it should be illegal because they are not paying people minimum wage. My training manager said he makes 15 dollars for every package he sells. Today we sold just 2. That means he made 30 dollars. Not to mention the fact that we had to drive 50 miles to get to the place we were selling.
I'm sorry if I did this report wrong, I'm glad I had this chance to tell someone about this. I pray that whoever reads this is the one who can help put an end to unjust and unethical business practices such as this.

there is so much more I can tell you about this company that seemed not right. It is hard to explain things like this on the computer. hopefully I can talk to someone more about this who can help.

I want to make clear that this company did nothing illegal but just morally wrong. Its not something that I need further contact about.
