timothy Strunk Route 2 Fence, The Strunk Corporation, Bulldog Fence Timothy Strunk stole $1350.00 from a single mother Londonderry, New Hampshire

On May 11,2011 I hired Tim Strunk of Route 2 Fence Company (The Strunk Corporation and formerly Bulldog Fence) to install a fence on one side of my property.  Prior to me hiring Tim Strunk, I had several email and phone conversations with him.  He had his "crew" come out and give me an estimate and I had called all his references.  I had 4 other fence companies come to give me estimates and Mr. Strunk was the best price and his refereces had appeared to check out.  All the fence companies I had interviewed had told me I would have to put half down so when Mr. Strunk asked for half down ($1350.00) I did not think it was unusual.

I was told that Route 2 Fence company would be back in 3 weeks to remove my old fence and put up my new vinyl fence.  On June 1, 2011 I was expecting my new fence to arrive and no one showed up.  I called Tim and he said they had a tough job going, they are delayed and he would be there later in the week.  Again, he did not show up.  This went on for 2 months.  He used several excuses including my fence came in and it was damaged, the weather, and very difficults jobs.  At one point his crew did come and take away my old fence down leaving my yard exposed for 6 weeks. 

I started to call him daily to see when he was coming to put my fence in and eventually he stopped taking and returning my calls.  At this point I googled his name and found him on rip off report.  I wish I had done that first.  I am a newly single mom and I am learning the hard way to do things on my own.  This was a good lesson learned.  I thought I had done my homework before hiring him, but now that I look back this was a set up from the begining.  Unfortuately being a single mom, I had to save up for this fence and it really did effect me financially.

On his website for Route 2 Fence it does not have his name anywhere, no address and just an email contact which is no longer available.  I wish I noticed this ahead of time.  It was not easy to find him, but after extensive research I found out a lot about Tim Strunk.  This is not the first time he has done this and apparently when he does show up his work is of very poor quality. 

In late July I hired another fence company who had my new fence installed within 3 weeks.  In some ways I feel lucky that Tim Strunk did not put my fence in.  In my research it turns out not only is he dishonest, but some of the jobs he has done have not been very good and the fences have not held up.  I choose to look at this as a blessing in disguise. 

I have written Tim a letter and ask that he do the right thing and give me my money back.  I have not heard nor did I expect to hear from him.  I am now in the process of filing a small claims against him and I plan on contacting news reporters such as Susan Warnick and Hank Philippe Ryan.  I do not expect to get my money back, but I do plan on doing everything I can to warn other potential victims of Tim Strunk.
