Touchpay Touchpay Direct Over-priced service Coppell Texas

When making a phone call to a loved one, even a local call, you are charged a fee like you would have back in the "long-distance call" days of the past.  Not only that, you have to go through a company that adds a fee of their own to the call. 

Shame on our government for allowing a greedy company such as GTL (also called TouchPay) to have a monopoly on this service that adds ridiculous fees to your financial burden.  Keep in mind that it is the family of the inmate, not the inmate themselves that has to bear the burden of this.  We didn't break the law... why punish us? 

As an example, I just put $25 on the account to receive calls from a loved one and Touchpay added a "fee" of $10.83 to my $25 initial fee.  That's 43.32% fee of the original fee.   You might think that money would go a long way with phone calls, but you'd be wrong. 

My experience with it is that it would cover about 1 1/2 phone calls.  How absurd is that?? Highway robbery allowed by our government.  Too bad they won't do anything to give us relief from this greedy company.
