Karen Ogden, of Tropical Occasions wedding service, is a worn out, very bitter, old lady from Canada that should not be planning weddings for Tropical Occasions wedding service, or any wedding service for that matter.  She should crawl back under the rock she slithered out from under and stop spreading negativity.  Karen Ogden is definitely burned out, and miserable, and it shows in everything she does.  Getting married is supposed to be an exciting happy time, and the last thing you need to do is to deal with someone who is so personally miserable, which is what you will get if you use Tropical Occasions and Karen Ogden. 

All she does is complain, and complain, about everyone, and everything, including her clients (you).  She just wants to get your wedding over with and get paid and do the next.  Just an overpriced wedding factory.  She could care less about anyone but herself and you can feel it.  She wants every bride to do the exact same thing (that is easiest for her), and which has the highest profit margin for her.  And, she wants to rape you financially in every way she can, while lieing to you about it. 

You have no idea how much she marks up the services she is supposedly helping you to get good deals on.  For example, you have no idea how incredibly cheap flowers really are in Costa Rica, but if you use Tropical Occasions and Karen Ogden, then you will likely pay several times more as they bill you for each flower like it is gold.  They are just flowers and flowers are incredibly cheap in Costa Rica, but she will say the color you want is more expensive, etc, etc.  It never ends with these people.  They just lie and lie and have been doing it for years so they know exactly what to say. 

You pay Tropical Occasions and Karen Ogden to be your wedding planner, but on top of her fee she also marks everything she can WAY up, like double, tripple, or even more sometimes.  What a horrible experience and I hope what we learned will help others..  Just stay away from a miserable rip off like Karen Ogden.  I think Karen needs to go back to Canada.  She is obviously not happy here, or maybe she is just not happy in general.  I feel sorry for anyone who comes in contact with such a entirely miserable person like her.  Such a negatron and not the person you want involved in your special day.
