I was driving 35mph and a rented uhual truck hit me from behind. The police came..should be clear cut...NOT
Everytime I call their rinky dink insurance carrier in nebraska I am told two things:
Our office hours are from 8 to 3 - I work 8 to 5 gee when can I call them.
Just go ahead and file with your company and we will work with them.
I shouldn't have to file with my company. Their rented truck had full coverage and hit me from behind due to driver error. They just don't want to pay my deductable or tow fees. This is the worst experience of my life....
DO NOT purchase their extra insurance - they don't know how to work their own claims....
OH and get this....uhaul is self insured on their own trucks...so their truck is already fixed and on the road - 12 days later I am still waiting on hold.

I DO highly recommend getting all of the insurance that U-Haul offers, ESPECIALLY the liability insurance in case your U-Haul hits others. I have read reports that U-Haul drivers who had the liability insurance from U-Haul did not have to pay for the accident. Accidents are far more expensive than the insurance, which is only $28/day.
"Grandma" (your user name), I am willing to chip in a little bit of money to pay for your damages, if U-Haul does not. I do not know how to send you a private e-mail or message through this website. I had my own bad experience related to U-Haul, so I am willing to help.
