The salesmen here are dishonest.

I made a deal to purchase a Nissan Rogue for 21,000; this was roughly 2,500 below the sticker price. I figured that was a good deal because the economy was slow yet still fair to the dealership as they would make a profit.

I told the salesman, Michael, that I would buy the car that day if he could get me approved for 21,000. He repeated the deal to me and I said again, if he could get me the car for 21,000, I would but it that day.

He told me okay, went inside and then returned telling me that I had a deal. We began talking about the down payment and monthly payments. He then sent me to Kevin, the sales manager.

Kevin informed me that he could get me a great interest rate and then we went outside to look at my trade in vehicle. We came back in and discussed the monthly payment again. He told me everything looked good and sent me to sign the paperwork.

When I sat down to sign the paperwork, I was given eight or nine different pieces of paper to sign. Some of the papers I signed were about driving in the snow and another one was about seat belts. Finally, I was given the final invoice. There were 13 or 14 different numbers on this paper, but my attention was drawn to the bottom which was the total price. I was informed that it was more because it included tax, title and other fees.

I said that makes sense and signed the paper. I walked out the door and drove my new car home.

When I returned home, I looked at the paperwork and read the fine print. It was at this point that I realized they charged me full sticker price.

I called the next day to inform them of the issue and I spoke to Kevin on the phone. He basically informed me that it was my fault for signing the paperwork. I told him that I accepted responsibility for trusting the men and women at Valencia Nissan.

Do not trust Valencia Nissan. Even when I brought this to the attention of the general manager, they did nothing to make reparations for their shady practices. These are people of ill repute and not trustworthy. Buy your Nissan somewhere else and you might have a chance of dealing with decent, honest people.

On a side note, I went to the lot the night before to look at the inventory. I spoke with Goran, who was trying to pressure me into buying something that night. I told him I wanted to wait until the next morning (this was Saturday night). He asked me if I wanted to wait until Sunday because of God. He then told me that there is no God.

These people are frightening.

My point was that this is likely to happen to you at any car dealer.  Not just this one.    It's a good thing to know if you don't want to be burned next time around.

So you agree that the car salesmen at Valencia Nissan are not trustworthy. Thank you for backing me up on that point.

As for the contract, again, you are right. Then again, you just highlighted something that I already admitted in my complaint. Nice work on pretty much echoing my point. Unnecessary, but thank you for taking the time to read my complaint and respond by rewriting what I already said.

*Zakstu, MANY OF THE PEOPLE WORKING IN THE CAR BUSINESS IN THE USA, AS WELL AS THE MORTGAGE BUSINESS, ARE ABLE TO MANIPULATE CUSTOMERS BY......

HAVING THEM FOCUS ON THE MONTHLY PAYMENT, INSTEAD OF THE ACTUAL SELLING PRICE OF THE CAR OR THE HOUSE.

If you 'Google' this- CAR SALES: TRICKS OF THE TRADE- CONSUMER ALERT, you can watch that video on the web. Pay attention to what the gentleman says about people who buy a car based on a monthly "payment". He says if you buy a car based on a payment, you never really know what you PAID for the car, right?

Then 'Google' this- COUNTRYWIDE WHISTLEBLOWER REPORTS LIAR LOANS, and watch that video also.

In America, unfortunately, much of the business that is/was conducted in the car business and in the mortgage business is a result of trickery & deception. If consumers wouldn't have been so focused on a "monthly payment", we wouldn't be in the situation that we're in right now, wouldn't you agree?

Millions of automobiles and houses are, and were sold in the USA, because the ones selling them were able to "trick", "deceive", and "manipulate" the buyers with MONTHLY PAYMENTS that seemed affordable, and the consumers didn't really pay close enough attention to the actual 'SELLING PRICE' & the 'FINANCING TERMS'.

That's why millions upon millions of houses have gone into FORECLOSURE in this country.

And it's also a big reason that over 16 Million new vehicles were being sold year after year in this country.

*It's all about DECEPTION, TRICKERY, & MANIPULATION, in the USA when selling cars & houses. Too bad, huh?

WELCOME TO AMERICA- ONE GIANT CAR DEALERSHIP; OUT TO DEFAUD AS MANY CONSUMERS AS POSSIBLE.

"He basically informed me that it was my fault for signing the paperwork."

He was right on the money.  This is not some rogue dealer.  This is standard practice in the industry.  If you're not going to read things before you sign them, you will be taken advantage of.  You set yourself up to be legally hosed.

"I told him that I accepted responsibility for trusting the men and women at Valencia Nissan. "

You put your trust in a car saleseman.  Seriously?
