Victory Auto Repair/Detailing Victory Auto Detailing Charged for bad service Eureka, Missouri

I had a check engine light/ no cruise control available light come on. Talking with the boy friend of the owners daughter he stated the service techs at Victory specialized in Jaguar cars. The business kept my car over night and about 3 pm the next day said the car was ready to go. When I went to pick up the car I was presented with a bill for $361.94. The daughter then told me the check engine light was still on and I need to talk to the service tech who worked on the Jag. This man came out and said the Jag had a bad manifold and it would cost a lot to repair it. That the Jag would not pass inspection unless I had this work done. The service tech had replaced a MAF Sensor costing $116.50, replaced my K&N Air Filter with a cheap paper filter and charged me $25.50 for it! No amount of hours was shown for labor, just $210.00. Driving home my Jag ran worse than when I took it to Victory Repair. The same crap went on as it did when the check engine light came on in the beginning of this ripoff.

I called a friend who told me about a Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum! I started reading about the same problem I was having with the Jag bucking in 3rd gear and the "no cruise available" light being on, along with the check engine light staying on. Sure enough there was a writing about the problem being a simple O-Ring on the IMT Valves (2). SO I go to the Jag dealer and buy two of these IMT Valve O-Rings for $13.00 and installed them. Guess what, the problem is now fixed. The Jag runs great and all the service lights are off! SO, to make a long story short these dummies at Victory Auto Repair must be simple shade tree mechanics that has smelled to many gas vapors. I would advise everyone not to use Victory Auto Repair of Eureka, MO.
