These people are nothing but gussied up snake oil salesman. Asking outrageous prices for horses they buy at the sale for $200-$300 next week advertise them for $4000 & up. Drove down, tried out a couple and they WERE NOT as advertised, and blamed me for not knowing how to ride a gaited horse. One of the horses still had the glue on his tail from the sale sticker that wouldn't come off clean. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not True At All

AUTHOR: Dave - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, February 28, 2012

I do not know who this is that wrote this report but nothing could be further from the truth. I picked up and delivered horses for Walking After Midnight farm for over 2 yrs and no horse ever came from a sale barn. All horses came from private parties and were always in good health. As far as horses not being what is advertised, that was not my experience, all horses have their own personality and do not respond the same to all people that is why an honest effort was always made to match horse and rider for the best fit. I do not know if this person has ever ridden a gaited horse or not but there are some adjustments to be made to the way you ride as opposed to other horses. It was always my opinion that every horse that was shown to someone on the farm was demonstrated first and anything particular to that horse was explained to the prospective buyer. This person made a lot of vague accusations that really sound like someone just bashing a place they know nothing about.I  Hope that anyone who read this report would do a little checking on the place and not use this as a true representation of Walking After Midnight Farm.

Hard Working Horse Trainers

AUTHOR: Dave - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, February 27, 2012

We look very closely at every horse we purchase. We judge them on temperment, and overall healthy appearance as well as anyone.

We deal primarily with Tennessee Walking Horses.  Everyone knows that Tennessee Walking Horses are easy going, and usually easy to train.  They are among the smoothest rides you can experience.  You can even drink a cup of coffee while riding some of our horses!

Every horse on our farm is not ready for sale at all times.  We will allow someone to ride our horses if they say they can handle them, and say they are experienced.  Sometimes, the horse selected to be ridden will not be ready for sale for another few weeks or months; but we will let folks check them out if they like the horse.

Yes, we purchase them for less than what we sell them for - we are in business to make money.

We train our horses, provide them expert veterinary care, and Farrier care.  We go to great lengths to train our horses so that by the time they are ready to actually be delivered, they are as ridable as possible.

We have a number of staff, both experienced riders and novice level that depending on their skill, ride our horses in order to make judgements on their temperment.

If anyone is ever dissatisfied with a transaction, we are more than happy to do whatever we can to try to make things right.

This person chose not to purchase - that is fine.  We only want a good match between one of our select smooth gaited horses and their new owners.  We are sorry that they are not pleased with their visit.  Perhaps if they would have told us their concerns in person we could have shown them some other horses that may have been more suitable for them.

For more information, to see photographs, and to contact us you can see for yourself at http://www.walking-after-midnight.com/ .

This report is lies

AUTHOR: Debbie lawhorne - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, February 27, 2012

My name is Debbie Lawhorne I have bought 7 horses from Melissa Bailey and the walking after midnight farm. This is not a farm who goes to sales and buys horses I have been there for over 7 years now and I can personally attest to the fact that Melissa Bailey has never bought from a horse sale. Her horses are hand picked from personal friends and trusted horse people from Tennessee. I don't know who this lady is but from the way she worded her complaint she just was not in the market for a quality trail horse. Melissa Bailey only sells high quality trail horses. No tape has ever touched the horses tales there. I think before you slander someone you should at least know the facts. Melissa Bailey has a return policy on her horses that I have yet to see anywhere else. If you are not happy after 30 days bring your horse back and she will replace with one pf equal value. I also take issue with compliant saying horses are sold for 4000.00 that just simply is not true. Her horses start at 5000 and go up from there. Melissa Bailey and her farm are 100% about making matches not money. Please be advised you can't believe everything you read. Thank you Debbie
