On July 9, 2021 I was driving from my business. My truck which only has 36,648 miles (I bought it with 22,428 on it) started to tremble and go into limp home mode. I noticed that a yellow wrench light was on so I drove it slowly back home. I had my children in the truck and it was very nerve racking. I turned off the truck and turned it back on and the lights were gone. The next morning I had already scheduled my truck for it's regular service. I have prepaid servicing at Town East ford in Mesquite, Texas where I originally purchased the vehicle. I had made a complaint to the manager that the truck was leaking a red substance that seemed like clay. To this day it is still doing it.

Ford towed my vehicle that day to Waxahachie Ford in Waxahachie, Texas. The vehicle took a week to diagnose due to a tech being in ill. I was told I had to pay $1100 for the inspection which several days later ended in a $17,000 repair bill due to corrosion in the fuel system. I explained to the service rep that I fueled my truck in brand named stations and that this seemed unusual. Charlie Lewis stated, "They found corrosion in a sensor", "Seems like someone before you got it may have put gas in it and flushed it and traded it in". " Could have also been bad fuel you've been using". Charlie began to ask me where I fueled up and we discussed best places.

I told Charlie I cannot afford to spend $17,000, what can I do. He said, "Well you can trade it and take the hit, take out a personal loan, or file it under your comprehensive on your insurance, who do have?" I told him my insurance carrier and he told me how they would proceed.

I told Charlie that I had MPP coverage and if Ford would cover it. He stated that he was almost positive that they would both reject me because of that one sensor. I reached out to Ford and spoke to Briana Benjamin a Ford rep case# CAS-32548521-T2M3J6 CRM:0445143. I reached out also on Twitter to them. Two days later I received this canned response, "Hello Mr. Rivera After reviewing my resources, there are no warranties or programs in effect that would provide coverage of your current concern. I recommend that you keep your receipts in case Ford initiates a program in the future based on your situation. In the mean time, I would encourage you to keep working with your local dealer as they are in the best position to continue helping you. We appreciate you reaching out to us here today". I knew it was canned because it was worded exactly like the Twitter response.

As of two days ago I decided to just trade in the vehicle and just be done with it. I contacted Town East Ford and spoke to Noel and discussed the above with him. Today, July 23, 2021 he sent a text stating that he spoke with Jacob Street the service manager at Waxahachie Ford who placed the blame mostly after the original sale of the truck. Noel said that because of this he will have to talk to the Director of Sales at Town East Ford to see if they could help. Jacob influenced this decision.

I suspect that Waxahachie Ford wants to repair this vehicle due to the exorbitant fees it can charge and is doing what it can to subvert any deal I may try to make to get out of this repair. My last act was to send an email to Phillipe Ackerman the GM over Waxahachie Ford. The result was a call soon after from Jacob Street denying he made any statement to influence what Town East Ford was trying to do.

I can provide screenshots, Tweets, emails if needed. Thank you all for any help with this matter.
