Wesley Chapel Nissan will do anything to get a sale and that includes ripping off hard working people.  My BBB complain is below:

Consumer's Original Complaint :
Wesley Chapel Nissan mislead my family and I and now we are completely under water on our car purchase.
About 2 years ago, we went to Wesley Chapel Nissan as our Lease was ending.  We were being pitched on a demo Armada that the owners wife drove and it was said to be at rock bottom price.  After a little negotiation, we lowered the price some and purchased the car and was told the car holds it's value well.  Well that is so far from the truth or they really ripped us off and took advantage of us.  We have not been happy with the vehicle, too big, low gas mileage, but that is our issue.  So about 6 months ago I approached management at Wesley Chapel to try and trade in for another car.  They told me the best offer would be 8K less than what I owe.  At the time I was not happy and clearly had an impression they ripped us off.  No car depreciates that quickly.  I was told give it another 6 months and the gap will not be as big.  Well today I contacted a few Audi Dealerships and now I am 10-13K in water.  To me this is a crime.  They clearly ripped us off and now we are stuck with this car unless they own up to this and give us a good deal on trade in.

Consumer's Desired Resolution:
I feel they should trade in the vehicle for the amount I currently owe and in return we will lease another Nissan.  I will not accept any carry over into the lease.  They should be ashamed of themselves.  If we cannot agree to this, I plan to write a formal complaint to Nissan, complete several online reviews to this story and contact the Attorney General for bad business practices.

1st issue is look how long it took them to respond.  Almost an entire month.  Their GM (Mark) response was yet another insult.  They want to charge me 594.00 a month for a Nissan Altima, 36 month lease, 15K a year.  I pay less than that on my new Audi A5 and I own it.  They have done nothing to address my main concern of the depreciation issue.  They claim they did not rip me off, but if tht is true, how am I so much in the hole?  Only other reason is Nissan's depreciate at an alarming rate.  If this is true, I beleive they have a moral obligation to inform customers of the cars depreciation schedule based on the term of payments they select.  On the Nissan website, they indicate on their customer promise to "market products and services honestly" and "provide clear expectations on all prices and paperwork".  Clearly if this dealership followed those promises I would not be writing this today.

I hope that Mark reads this and takes accountability for this issue and we can work out a reasonable deal.

Wonderful Resolution

AUTHOR: Tiger23 - ()

POSTED: Friday, October 25, 2013

I recently had concerns with my depreciation value on my Nissan Armada. Lesson learned for me, do not use email to try and get a deal done. After a few conversations with the GM, he convinced me to bring in the car. I did and he really gave us an amazing deal. Great guy to work with. If you go into Wesley Chapel Nissan, talk with Mark. Great guy!!

Not a rip-off

"was told the car holds it's value well"

'Well' is a matter of opinion. In that person's opinion it may have held the anticipated value.

"No car depreciates that quickly."

Some car values depreciate quickly. That is not the fault of the dealer that sold you the car.

"To me this is a crime."

To the law, it is not a crime. It's life.

"I feel they should trade in the vehicle for the amount I currently owe"

The dealer should not accept a loss because your property lost value.

"I beleive they have a moral obligation to inform customers of the cars depreciation schedule based on the term of payments they select."

The market changes. You are not required to accept their payment terms. As a customer you need to learn to take control. If you don't like the deal, shop somewhere else.

"1st issue is look how long it took them to respond.  Almost an entire month."

Businesses are not required to respond to any questions or comments from the BBB.

You were not ripped-off and are suffering from a case of buyer's remorse.

Who Signed The Deal?

AUTHOR: Jim - ()

So then...they told you at first this thing was priced at "rock bottom"?  If that was the case, why did they come down on that price?  Didn't that. for one split second, even faze you?  It wasn't "ROCK BOTTOM" and they gave you evidence right then and there they were LIARS.  What did you do?  You stayed there and rewarded them for lying to you!  Smart, real smart.  Then you go on to blame them because YOU didn't do your homework and YOU agreed to a bad deal!  Again, smart, real, real smart!  No car dealer or car salesman is your financial counselor.  Its up to a SMART CONSUMER to make the judgement call as to whether the deal is good and that smart consumer does their homework BEFORE going into the store.  No, I don't work for them.
