Westfield Eye Center only cares for profit over the patient. Recently, my wife Kathleen had to cancel her appointment due to a family emergency and they imposed a $30.00 fee which added to the grief she already was experiencing. Additionally, Dr. Thayer recently stopped accepting her insurance (MassHealth) which provided the rides to her previous appointments and the office manager Nicole was less than professional when dealing with us as we disputed the unjust fee.

She didn't care and showed absolutely no concern for Kathleen's financial predicament. She wouldn't even allow us to talk directly with Dr. Thayer and her response was "that's not going to happen" when we insisted on speaking with him. Nicole's rudeness was apparent and she denied a patient the right to speak with the doctor simply because she didn't want her unprofessionalism to be reported. Furthermore, the fact that Kathleen is both elderly and disabled didn't seem to make a difference either in the unfair treatment she received at the hands of this establishment.

A complaint was filled with the Better Business Bureau, but Westfield Eye Center still refused to wave the fee despite being made aware of the unnecessary financial burden it would place on us. As a result of their greed, we have decided to take our business elsewhere. It should be noted also that Westfield Eye Center selectively discriminates against the disabled and elderly.





Furthermore, they pay people to leave positive reviews on their business while banning anyone from leaving negative reviews which contradict the false image they want to portray. To give an example, they have a single positive review on some generic site called "hibu" which is linked to their "Facebook" page and it's from December 10, 2018 by "Ryan M" which clearly appears to be either a paid or phantom writer.

We attempted to submit a review and it wasn't published simply because it showed them in a less than flattering light. So, they impose censorship too along with discrimination. This is NOT the type of unethical business anyone should be dealing with!

 They have s cancellation policy. Either you didn't ask about it or read any paperwork they gave you about that. It's not their fault if YOU failed to familiarize yourself with the office policies. It's up to each provider to accept or decline insurance. You aren't entitled to get your way everytime you do business.

The really funny thing is you think the BBB is going to help you? Exactly who do you think the BBB with all their BS is? The BBB-BS is NOT part of any government entity. The BBB-BS has ZERO law enforcement powers. The BBB-BS attempts to deceive the public everyday by referring to themselves as "the bureau" as if they were part of law enforcement.

The ONLY purpose of the BBB-BS is to SELL their PHONEY accreditations and their PHONEY ratings. The BBB-BS is an acknowledged con-game with many people at the top of the "family" raking in huge profits for their con-game which is very well known in the business community.
