I am a World Cup Futbol fan and we purchased a air charter package from Scott Smith and Worldwide Charters in Toronto, Canada to fly from Costa Rica to Russia for the World Cup.
We made our plans to stay in Russia and paid for hotels and tickets to the matches. All for nothing we lost our money because Worldwide Charters and CEO Scott Smith cancelled the flights two days before we are to leave.
300 fans stranded with our group. This man should be ashamed. We had all paid more than $8000 USA dollars to take this trip. No compensation for the money we lost on hotels and tickets.
Do not trust Worldwide Charters. World Wide Charters and CEO Scott Smith are scam artist. If you get a charter with them you will be so sad and lose your money.
If you have been a victem also, come forward here!

Antonio,
It is unfortunate to hear that you were one of the multiple passengers stranded in Costa Rica during the 2018 FIFA World Cup, however, I believe that you were misinformed by the travel agency that sold the package to you.
Destinos TV approached Worldwide Charter Group in May 2018 (After selling hundreds of packages to the Worldcup with no flights arranged) asking for some help with a last-minute charter flight to transport around 300 PAX to Russia since they were having issues finding transportation for the people that had bought tickets in advance through their agency, and also, requesting flexible payments because their cash flow was limited at the time
(We had been warned by several agencies in Costa Rica that Destinos and Mr. Cortez had issues with payments in the past); Although we did everything in our power to assist them, they missed the payments and after several extensions, we were forced to cancel the contract; after we formally canceled the charter because of non-payment, we informed the Civil Aviation and the local travel agencies group, and immediately turn the file over to our legal representatives to execute the refund.
If you have any claim, we suggest you contact directly your travel agency. As for your information, no legal actions were started in Costa Rica against Worldwide Charters for the cancelation of these flights because there was no basis for this and we had informed the Costa Rican authorities of the events leading to the cancelation.
We have the correspondence, bank records, contracts and legal documents on record to prove what really happened. We appreciate that you do not throw accusations with the intention of damaging my personal name without being aware of all the facts.
