YP.com Salesman LIED about being able to get out of contract after 6 months... failed to deliver promised leads. Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

I met with the salesman for a very detailed plan of advertising for a jewelry store I represent.  The ad campaign at over $2000 per month did nothing to increase leads or sales.  Before signing the contract we were told and have the email that we could cancel after 6 months if we did not like the results. 

As soon as the contract was signed, the salesman disappeared and never gave any support that was promised. Someone from out of state, was supposedly a regional manager,  was tasked to "help" us but was never around and never monitored or improved our campaign, or did anything that was promised. 

6 months went by and we tried to cancel the contract.  YP says it "never" allows contracts for less than one year and refused to cancel the contract and is still billing at over $2000 per month.  

This is the most blatant ripoff I've ever encountered, with failure to deliver promised services and no accountability and a refusal to acknowledge a failure to provide services.  They took the money and ran.  They offered to add our campaign to an additional region for free, but then extended the contract for another year... not what we asked them to do.  

In Pennsylvania a verbal contract is considered legal.  It seems we will have to go to our lawyers to get this settled and may be grounds for a lawsuit. We shall see.
