Since its inception, I-Mockery has wrongly accused innocent people of things they didn't do. They have orchestrated character attacks via other websites that are protected by the Internet Decency Act (which is really just another way of saying "we can get away with what we want because we found a loophole to exploit).

Roger Barr, the owner of this website and its forums drafted a privacy policy and then allowed his senior moderator Eric "Chojin" Yockey to violate it on numerous occasions.

Things finally went too far when Yockey went on my Facebook and posted defamatory comments about my love of hand drawn animated ponies. I'm gone and done with that site, but someone has to expose its corruption.

I-Mockery's mistreatment of one user in particular especially disgusted me. Where they get this power they think they have, I don't know. I'll never know. I'm just glad I got out when I did.

I have discovered, after fact-checking, that I was very much wrong about both Eric Yockey's professional demeanor and sincerely apologize for filing this report against my better judgment.

The People of I-Mockery

AUTHOR: Angry Person - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, July 06, 2012
Roger Bar (Mockery) is a writer, reviewer, and actor who has appeared on The Daily Show, G4, and other television programs. He has also been spotted at Comic Con and various gaming conventions where he operates a booth to promote his website,  I-Mockery.

Eric Yockey (Chojin) is a gifted programmer  and musician as well as master marketer, He has designed a handful games for X-Box, and has managed his own gaming company. Recently, he has been hard at work revolutionizing the industry with his original take on cardiocascular fitness by combining video gaming with cycling.

R. Jefferson Babbitt (Colonel Flagg)  is a brilliant chemist and valued member of the I-Mockery forums. He also gives good advice and is a great problem solver.

Emily MacCubbin (MLE) is an artist who makes things and sells them on Etsy. She serves as I-Mockery's "Chief of Police" and does a decent job of keeping riffraff out of the forums.

Don Carlson (Pram Maven) started out as riffraff in the forums before  moving on to become a popular clay animator and musician on Youtube.  He has since been made fun of to death on the forums when he wasn't  working on several high profile creative projects,  including writing for several prominent animation publications, Beta- testing sofwware,  animating his own short films, and designing sound for independent animators. Contrary to belief, Don Carlson is not a stalker, but a stocker. He is not a homeless criminal, but a... Homeful criminal. No, wait- that's not right either. He is a homely gentleman. Don Carlson is also not racist. He has no interest in races whatsoever and prefers to just mosey.

Todd Ginoza (Tadao) is a newly married animal lover and I-Mockery's  resident shock therapist. He has successfuly converted several unruly posters into responsible contributors. His taste in music is beyond reproach.

Despite the fact that all of these have been occasional comedians on a sarcastic humor forum, in real life they are probably decent human beings and this writer asks that they be  judged for their positive aspects and commitment to hard work, rather than their tongue-in-cheek jokes on a silly comedy site. The same goes for everyone else who posts there.

Sincerely,

The One Who Started It

This is ridiculous...

AUTHOR: Angry Person - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, April 27, 2012

The post made here as "Don Carlson" is not him. Despite what people may think, he is not stupid enough to implicate himself as an author or participant in any of this. He is a professional animator and musician and that's what he does.  I-Mockery is a forum that does not take itself seriously. Moreover, it is a message board that does not take anyone outside of it seriously, either. The actual facts in this matter have been so completely exaggerated and pushed over the top of believability that they have become a legend unto itself. The vast majority has nothing to do with Don Carlson's animation or his music. It is purely there for spite and hilarity.

Hopefully, anyone with a sense of humor or common sense will realize this, and see that to pursue legal action for any of it would be a complete waste of time before it could be scheduled and then laughed right out of court.

Signed,

God

It's all gone wrong

AUTHOR: Don Carlson - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 24, 2012

Hi everyone,

I reviewed the links that were posted and I have come to the sad conclusion that I am, by far, in the wrong.  My friend messaged ne a long time ago when he wanted help "flaming" people on a message board, and like a fool, I tried my best to be a bad a*s. After I tried to start my music under the name of "Pram Maven" I googled the name and found that my idiotic response only reflected how horrible I am at anything I try to do. I became depressed and even suicidal. Why in the hell would I try to name my music after the dead unborn child of a woman who was too embarrassed to admit I might be the father? I strating to think she's right and that I imagined we had sex. After all she doesn't even recognize me when I say hello at the coffee shop she frequents before she goes to work. It's like she has never seen my face. :(

I'm rambling, I apologize.

In conclusion. If you read my posts, even the threads dedicated to me, you will see that I tried to sue a website over something I wrote and they would not remove. Perhaps I should think about what I type on the internet before I hit enter, but honestly... I'm not that bright. :(

#2 UPDATE EX-employee responds

I-Mockery's Administrator and business graduate Eric Yockey of Baltimore, MD uses sarcasm when responding to legitimate professional concerns.

AUTHOR: Angry Person - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, April 24, 2012

A facetious candor in reply  to a legitimate issue and callous treatment at the hands of one's company which continues to maim a private figure's public and professional  image is not an appropriate way to handle a legitimate professional complaint. Neither is starting new rumors about the person to whom you are intentionally causing psychological harm on your forum (see Eric Yockey's above rebutle). Mr. Carlson is not dead, and he is not here to defend himself.

My name is Gabby Gaga. I have been following the Don Carlson debacle for awhile now. Contrary to I-Mockery's belief that they unwittingly killed me, I am not dead.

As part of my study, I have noticed that no effort has ever been made to remedy or lessen the volume of unfair accusations about Mr. Carlson's non-entertainment character, which I will present here for all interested parties.

In which Mr. Carlson is impersonated and inaccurate facts about him surface from thin air (a clear and present violation of I-Mockery's agreement with their forum members which states in the fourth line from the bottom of the site's stated Privacy Policy:

"...I-Mockery.com holds the consumer relationship in the highest regard and pledges: To respond quickly to questions about the accuracy of information we process for our visitors. We appreciate the fact that inaccurate data can have a negative impact upon consumers. If a data error is called to our attention, we will use our best efforts to determine the source of the error and to notify the responsible party and update our records. If the error is in data, which originates with us, we will promptly correct it.")

The following, henceforth, are UNCORRECTED ERRORS in data,  as of 4/24/2012 including thread titles with irresponsibly and intentionally erroneous information inserted with the purpose of humiliating Mr.  Carlson (AKA Pram Maven) in font of his peers, employers, and potential employers.

Exhibit A
Exhibit B
Exhibit C
Exhibit D

In which animator Don Carlson is unreasonably harassed by his own Google search results within a professional and serious context as seen outside of I-Mockery's site:

Exhibit E
Exhibit F
Exhibit G

In which Mr. Carlson is clearly and repeatedly targeted and mistreated for no other reason than boredom or entertainment:

As a matter of fact, forum signatures were used to ARTIFICIALLY BOOST these links in Don Carlson's search results in Google, Bing, Yahoo, and other places.

I-Mockery's Privacy Policy as of this date of 4/24/2012 contains no provision for a waiver of any rights based upon a member's behavior within a humorous context or otherwise. As a matter of fact his Privacy Rights, as granted in the policy were violated by virtue of the fact that his real name even appears on the site. It was revealed against his will and request by Todd Ginoza of Eureka, CA. (posting as "Tadao").

Furthermore, as the website in question has complete control over its content including text, pictures, video, and coding , anything can be edited at will  whether deleted, modified, or appended at the sole discretion of the ADMINISTRATOR, who is at this point showing himself to be UNAPOLOGETIC and WITHOUT REMORSE- QUESTIONABLE human traits FOR ANY BUSINESS. Above all else, there was no mention that any of the above harassment or impersonation within and outside of it was allowable under former or current site policies, and Don Carlson had no knowledge of what he was getting into at the time of signing up. Therefore, I submit that the aforementioned was a form of  socially-engineered entrapment.

This is precisely why I stopped posting on that forum and faked my own death. No one's actual rights are taken seriously, and it was rumored that I actually died as a result of I-Mockery's cruelty to me for my assumed mental disability (Asperger's Syndrome) after which my  grieving mother was belittled and tormented about her daughter's alleged death.

In the case of Don Carlson, if he does in fact have Asperger's Syndrome, the actions I-Mockery has taken against him in the guise of malicious humor should be and can be considered a hate crime in his city of Portland, Oregon where his Asperger's would fall under the category of a protected status.

A further misstep as seen in Mr. Yockey's rebutle and made with the intent to confuse or confound our gentle readers is the rumor that Don Carlson (Pram Maven) is dead. He is, in fact, alive and holds the exclusive and worldwide rights to the Pram Maven trademark.

I hold these truths about I-Mockery to be self-evident and publicly accessible, and make positive claim as to  their validity, relevance, complete accuracy, and legitimacy to the best of my knowledge. The fact that Mr. Yockey refuses to address any of these concerns in a serious manner speaks volumes about his level of professionalism and maturity.

With the above given, Mr. Yockey has the option of correcting these errors, and at that time I will update this report with a more favorable view of him, his attitude, and the way he conducts business and resolves complaints about  I-Mockery, the site he represents in name and character.

Rebuttal

AUTHOR: Chojin - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, April 23, 2012

Allow me to set the record straight. We at I-Mockery.com take our privacy policy with the utmost seriousness and would never share our users' information outside of the exemptions mentioned in the user agreement.

Our exemptions clause clearly states (page 2, paragraph 1, line 4 onward):
"...whereas, the undersigned (hereinafter referred to as "user") forfeits their rights of protection under the following conditions: the user falls under any of the exempted conditions listed in code 431.322.12 of the 1995 Internet Privacy Act, the user first willfully violates the terms of this privacy act and thereby waives their protection, the user unlawfully manipulates the forum software to display an image of a cheeseburger, or the user has one or more deceased paternal relatives."

We have followed this policy to the letter since our website's inception in 1973, with the exception of the fatal 2011 gang-stalking incident involving Portland Oregon's own Donald "Pram Maven" Carlson, which our staff and the attorney general unanimously agreed "he totally had coming." I-Mockery.com and its staff were absolved of any responsibility for the incident, but we were advised to disseminate information to our users that Don was likely the victim of postmortem identity theft, and to report any sightings of a man responding to that name or handle to the Department of Justice.

Thank you for allowing us to set the record straight. We take our internet business with the utmost degree of seriousness.
