US Fidelis sells warranty's to consumers over the phone. They then sell your contract to MEPCO who will bill your credit card each month. Over the phone the sales representatives provide numerous incentives to get you to agree to sign up. They also require you to put additives in your vehicle's radiator, oil resevoir, and apply adapters to your battery. The worst part is that it took them nearly 45 days to mail a full contract with details such as the CAP they will pay out in total on all repairs. My car has a blue book value of 32K and I paid $2,300 dollar to US Fidelis which was cheaper than the manufacturer of the car. But the cap on the total amount repairs they will cover over the lifetime of the contract was only $6,500 dollars.
A transmission plus a window motor will wipe this out. Most warranty's sold by manufacturers have no cap or the cap is based on the Blue Book Value. I later found out from my auto dealer I could buy a less expensive warranty, which I did, with no cap. It took 16 calls to US Fidelis to finally get a live person after being on hold for up to 30 minutes at time, which I would give up and call back later. Calling MEPCO, the company that US FIDELIS sells your contract to is worse. You will rarely be able to get a live person and if you want to cancel you will be on hold forever.
After many calls, certified letters, I finally obtained cancellation and would advise people to not commit to any product from this company unless you obtain a complete sample of the agreement, disclosures, etc which they will not send you because once you see the hoops you have to go through to cancel, you won't do business with them. US FIDELIS claims they are a "Faith Based Company" which may appeal to some, but to me its pandering and meaningless when you pay a lot of money for little coverage.
Return additives to the address they were shipped from because if you don't, you will not get your money back and make sure you send it UPS or USPS signature required as proof of return. If not, they can claim they never got it back. It cost me a lot to get out of this contract, but it was worth it. Buyer beware.
