CGA is a currency grading company that claims to have a long background of grading rare currency. However, the owner of this company has a history of over grading currency for his dealer friends who in turn sell this over priced over graded currency to the public resulting in huge losses to the general public. (grading determines the values)
One of those dealers who is a big seller of currency graded by CGA is Ahmet Sandikci the owner of Arcade Currency Palace. I suggest you take a look at the web site key currency . com and click on the bad grade link. You will find a ton of evidence listed there and more detailed information.
CGA has numerous lawsuits against them for consumer fraud in the state of NJ. His buddy Ahmet Sandikci has been sued in the Pinellas County(Florida) Courts for fraud as well. If you google Ahmet Sandikci or Porscheahmet (ebay user name) you will find a ton of bad press. The good media is a result of lies and paid advertising by Sandikci in an attempt to cover up his scams and price fixing operation with CGA and company.
The TOP known grading companies (((competitor's name redacted))) and (((Redacted))) have an excellant history of dealing with the public and seem to be on the up and up when dealing with grading.
I STRONGLY suggest you do due diligence and check and re-check with reputable honest dealers or auction houses to establish a fair market value on the purchase you may be considering or anything related to CGA graded currency and especially sales being considered with the crooks at Arcade Currency Palace.

I am Jess Lipka. I sold my interest in CGA around ten years ago. As far as impropiety, there was none. This post was in my opinion posted by an associate of Joseph Ranier who was entangled in either a fued or litigation with his former employer Ahmet Sandikci. Neither CGA during my stewardship nor I individually has ever lost a lawsuit. CGA never paid to settle a lawsuit. CGA never was charged with any crime by any govenment agency. CGA never agreed to any consent agreement. As far as overgrading, when CGA started, there was no grading standard. We tied grading to the 70 point system. New grading services started nearly 10 years later assigning tight grades on items we had graded after usurping the 70 point system we started. After I sold my my interest, grading has become more and vmore commercial by these large companies, and once they took our market share, they as neccesary took care of submitters. Now if one finds an early graded CGA note, it is likely to upgrade at the grading services which currently are considered legitimate.
