I am with you David

Do not use your credit or debit card with these people. They got me to put my debit card on file and told me it would never be used without my authorization. Well one month my payday fell on Wednesday after my payment was due. They took the payment on my due date before I got paid so it messed up my account. I was NOT set up on any auto pay..it was just for me to call in and say I want to use my debit card. they told me that was the only way I could call in a payment is to have the info on file.

Aaron's and other RTO's charge less than credit cards

AUTHOR: Paul - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, September 15, 2005

If you do business with any RTO (rent-to-own) company you know that they charge more than retail for thier products. It is like buying a car. If you have the cash up front to buy the car for sticker, then do it. If not, you will be paying a finance charge. Unfortunately, that is the way the world works. If you have the cash buy it outright, it is cheaper. Most people that frequent RTO's, don't have thousands of dollars to spend on furniture, computers, so on and so forth. Also, most have no or bad credit. The only way for these companies to "screw" you and take your money is if you don't pay your bill. Non-payment means you loose the property. Simple as that. It is the same with ANY bill. If you pay off the merchandise in 90 days or less, you get it for retail. You take longer, you pay retail plus financing charges. All of these figures and numbers are on the contract you sign. And are made very clear by the representative before you sign. The only ways to get "ripped off" is to not pay your bill on time which results in a reposession. Clearly this fool who wrote the initial complaint either can't read a contract, is hard of hearing, or is irresponsible when it comes time to pay for things. Take your "claims" somewhere else, and stop blaming other people and business' for all of your life problems. We ALL have bills, MOST of us pay them. Stop whining and complaining, PAY YOUR BILLS...

I work for Aarons. And I am sorry to say, if you look up on the Program paper, it clearly says, builds your credit in the list of things that you get from doing business with Aarons. So ethier that is a pile of BS or what but I have a copy right here. Trust me people, Aarons is a waste of time, do yourself a favor, but from a store, save your trouble

your responsibility

AUTHOR: Rob - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, October 19, 2003

The min. terms of the lease are printed on the contract and all patrons initial it. I have never seen anyone charged the service fee if they pay off in full in 90 days, and if they go past the 90 days they will be charged the arrons service plus fee, which covers such things as service warranties, relocation, payment holiday, 25-50% discounts on future purchases, as well as processing. And we do not file on any credit report,so how can we effect your credit.
