I have paid about 7,000 dollars for a $2500.00 loan that i was told i would have the cheaper interest. First of all i was forced to sign it even though i did not understand the 98% interest rate before signing and they had also put the money in my account already. The took money out of my checking account and I also paid by money gram on my own after i closed my checking account because of them. Now they are taking me to court for another $2,086.00 on top of what i already paid to them.
Today 9-30-2008- i go to court in Oakland, this is ridiculous i really hope when i bring all my receipts and paperwork the judge sees thru this messy company who is already ripping off people.
I am a victim-winslett

The judge will look at the contract between the 2 parties and deem the contract valid even with 98% interest. California no longer has usury laws on the books. I suspect they'll try to settle with you for a lesser amount. If they do, pay off the balance ASAP otherwise it'll simply continue...
