I ordered a costume in May.  I paid for it the same day the order was placed.  Later Brenda even asked for more money for more materials to finish it.  I paid those immediately.

But the costume never arrived.  Brenda would go weeks without communicating.  When she did mail me - she'd say she mailed it, but could provide no tracking number.  Then she said she mailed it again - again no tracking number.  She said her internet went out for weeks and she couldn't communicate with me.  She even said she went to a funeral - on two different occasions.

This business gave me nothing but lie after lie after lie.  It is three months later and my money is gone and I never got what I ordered.  So frustrating.

A terrible, unethical business that just lies and has no intention of delivering.

Here's a timeline:

05/29         Brenda sends invoice for order

05/29         Payment sent for order

05/29         Brenda: "I look forward to starting your order right away!"

05/29         Brenda: "I will keep you posted on my progress"

06/05         Haven't heard from Brenda - I sent a note to check on progress.

06/05         Brenda: "Moving right along here with your order.  I did however, run into a snag with the under-skirt that we use for the fullness you wanted.  It seems since the last time I ordered one, they have gone up $10 in price. "

06/05         I send an additional $10

06/17-06/22   2 separate mails from me were not responded to

06/24         Brenda: "So sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner, I have been out of town for a couple of days on emergency."

06/25-07/06:  2 separate mails from me were not responded to

07/06         I write saying I absolutely need the dress by the end of the month for an event, please commit to that date or offer a refund

07/06         Brenda: "I will have everything ready and shipped to you by then.  Just getting the smaller pieces done now. I will keep in touch.  Got to run up to the fabric shop for more materials."

07/06-07/18:  3 separate mails from me were not responded to

07/18         Brenda: "Just finishing up the apron here, had to do the ties over.  Will have another update shortly."

07/19         Brenda: "Ok, I should have it out by then. Working on it again right now, looking good ...Will be sewing all day."

07/19-07/24:  5 separate mails from me were not responded to.  At this point my deadline has now been missed.

08/06         Brenda Responded super-fast to my inquiry from a different email address about a new sale.  Appears she really does respond to emails if they are about getting more money.

08/07         Brenda: "The package was returned to me and I must re ship it to you.  We have been out of state attending my son's father's funeral ...  will re-ship now for you."

08/07         Brenda: "Yes, my internet service was down for almost a week, that is why.  I've been trying to catch up ever since on emails.  Let me get tracking info for you."

08/10         Brenda: "I am out of state at the moment, don't have the trackiing info. here.  You should receive the package tomorrow."

08/15         Brenda: "Just got back from my son's father's funeral.  I'm catching up on all emails and such, and will provide you with a tracking number shortly."

08/17         Brenda: "Getting tracking info for you now"

08/19         Brenda: "You are all set to go, just waiting for my courrier to get back with shipping info.  Will have to you in a jiffy."

08/19-08/23   4 separate mails from me were not responded to

Super Satisfied Wonderful Woman

AUTHOR: Super Satisfied - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, February 29, 2012

I am getting ready to move from Texas to California, as I was packing up my closet I came across my favorite costume. I ordered a "wonderful woman" costume from this vendor a couple of years back. Not only did I have the totally opposite experience, I would buy from her again. I actually came across this ripoff report because I was looking for the custom exotic wear website to buy again. I understand the purchasers frustration if in fact the comment was true. But on the other hand I think that every company comes across someone that will have a negative experience no matter what the vendor does. To make things fair I decided to write my positive review for this person, because she deserves it! I will admit it took a while to get my costume, but it did arrive in the time frame promised. I decided that the length of time it took to arrive was fair since this is in fact CUSTOM. This costume was not just a cookie cutter piece pumped out of some sweatshop. I think that if these people have a problem getting their money back, they should have used common sense. When buying from a small business that has no physical brick and mortar store front, use paypal. If something like this happens you are protected. All in all I was very happy with the costume. Everyone loved it, I got endless compliments. Not to mention that every time Halloween rolls around friends ask to wear it. Good quality all American craftsmanship.

Serious?

I had to comment on this because I also have ordered from online sites and had to deal with nonsense stories...to custom exotic wear there's no excuse for your lateness..I'm so glad I read this because I googled a Jessica rabbit costume and this came up so I know where not to order from...when you run a business you should run it properly..we as a consumer do not care about the stories of why you didn't get the product to us..you got your money right?..that was on time right?...ok so it's only right to have our product on time..it has nothing to do with being in a rush..it's unacceptable to make someone wait and wait and then she didn't get it in time to wear it for what she needed it for..that's terrible..funeral or not..which I don't believe the story..u should have told her and given her a refund so she can go to a competent business..btw saying your Internet was down was funny..I guess there's no library in town..or I guess you just don't know anyone with a computer that you could use..it's your responsibility to tell the customer you cannot provide her product on time..again it doesn't matter to us what's the issue..we payed..we want!! I'm sick of people like this

Life is Too Short

AUTHOR: BSewing - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, September 27, 2009

Ok, this is just ridiculous!

All you had to do is ask me and I will fix the problem.  You want to put personal email quotes on here which I find very rude. Do you put these up for Target, or Walmart when you feel you weren't treated right?

I just think we certainly could have worked this out between you and I and not the whole world having to read about it.  This is your choice, so I will reply as needed my friend.

Now, I have the velvet fabric ordered and it has arrived, I plan to send you the velvet skirt and leotard complete. Maybe you could hold off on these slanders and give me a chance to make it right with you.

I'm a pretty easy going person, but with any business, there is always someone who wants to give you a hard time.  My hat's off to folks in customer service!

Boy, you should see my board now, and you think you had a long wait!  Halloween costumes are being inquired about and I may not get to them at all. There is only one of me and if you want quality workmanship, patience is needed for a quality costume.  All of these folks are waiting patiently for their costumes and not complaining.  If you knew how much work and time goes into making just one costume, you may think twice.  I always try to email people to let them know I am swamped, and will get to them as soon as I can.  If someone could make these same costumes as I do, then there wouldn't be such a great demand for them.  They are custom made, and do take time as they are created from scratch as the order comes in.

Anyway, I have decided that I will get to those pieces you need when I complete my orders pending, as I don't appreciate what you have done here.

Life is too short, you should enjoy it and be nice to all you meet.  Don't make enemies, make friends.  If you have a problem, just try to resolve it.  No one needs all that stress in their lives.

You will get those remaining pieces when I complete them.  I owe you that much, but after posting here, I'm not in a big hurry to fix this problem until you remove this slander.

Costume arrived seriously late, not as described

AUTHOR: Peter from Redmond - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, September 12, 2009

Our costume arrived after 3.5 months.  Communication during this time was quite poor - with many promised and missed deadlines.

Once the costume arrived it was signficantly not as described.

The advertised costume was velvet, what we received is satin.

The advertised costume was a custom tailored dress, with numerous details - we received a store-bought leotard and plain skirt.

The fabric of the leotard did not match the skirt.  They don't look right together.

Finally the entire package smelled of cigarette smoke so badly that every individual piece had to be laundered.

What is most aggravating about this order is how poor the communication was.  It's been 3+ months of trying to get this package delivered, and when it finally arrives it is nothing like was was promised.

Always check internet companies with a whois search

AUTHOR: max, warren ct - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, August 30, 2009

When dealing with a unknow small company that does not list their address and phone number on their site, you should check to see if their "whois" search with network solutions is private. If it is steer clear.....

Irate Customer

AUTHOR: BSewing - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, August 29, 2009

My internet was down and I was attending a funeral 1300 miles from home as we drove there to see family for a couple of weeks I have not visted in 10 years.  Due to the current economy troubles, it has been difficult to pay bills, rent, and making any type of purchases these days. That is the truth, I do not lie.  It was shipped and returned to me. I can't communicate with you if my internet is down.  You are not the only customer wanting things in a big old hurry. I pushed your order up to the front.  The truth is I wanted to get it out to you asap, but I was being threatend by you and wasn't sure what to do at that point. I don't appreciate quoting my words from the emails I sent you which I consider private between you and I, so let me quote you.

"Next will be Price Grabber.  Then reseller ratings.  Then the better business bureau! Then your state's attorney general!"  I have a picture of the shipping box and costume that I will post for you to view. The package will be delivered to your address. There are no refunds on custom orders, but I do offer exchanges. I can understand your frustration in having to wait, but I'm sure you will be satisfied when you receive the package.  Some folks just go out of their way to hurt someone. I'm sure you have better things to do with your time than to threaten me. I've been nice to you every time, and now you just want to do harm. I'm not putting up with it anymore.  You big meanie!
