Diversified Collection Services, Inc. (DCS) DCS Fraudulent and unable to provide proof of debt Grants Pass Oregon

I received a call from Angela Belasco of Diversified Collection Services (DCS) today while I was at work. She called threatening to garnish my wages for default student loans. I do not have any default loans. I confirmed this with NY Higher Ed and the Dept of Ed after speaking with her. I figured this must be a mistake and maybe they had the wrong person. Angela was rude and at one point hung up on me. When I asked what information they had on file for me such as DOB, address, phone, they were unable to confirm any of this correctly and all the info they had was false. To top it off, they did not have the legal spelling of my name and it was not the spelling that was used when I applied for loans or any of my legal documentation. They are very interested in getting your social security number. Even Angela's voicemail says, "please leave your name and social security number". Yeah right! I asked for the promissory note associated with the loan and she told me it would take 6 to 8 weeks. Nonsense. If you are calling trying to collect funds from someone, you should have something in writing on file and ready to go. I am not sure what will happen from here since there is no proof of the debt and I am not going to give my personal info out to someone who just calls me out of the blue. I don't feel I owe them any money and the Dept of Ed and the NY Higher Ed Services can attest to that. Do not give DCS any info. Angela's direct extention is 541-956-7993. Feel free to call her and harass her right back!
