Watch out for this SCAM!!This company charges over $3,000 total for loan modifications and say they are a non profit company. There are companies out there that can do this for free. That is the entire purpose that the government came out with the money. You don't need to pay a scam company to do it. I have heard many bad things about Financial hope for america, and they have an F on the BBB, with certified financial protection group.

search "financial hope for america scam" and watch the results that pop up. Don't give a dollar to this company!

I also have researched them.

I have tried my local resources, but with Obamas new laws if I get help fixing my house through my local resources, I loose my other benifits.

I found some interesting things out about this so called 'Organization'! Yes they have a Non-Proffit Licence but yet are charging people to help them on average $3,000 a pop! I was going to try to get help to fix my home, I'm on a fixed income with one income home, my husband, Bless him, has taken care of me for over 6 years since I became severely disabled.

They even sent me an E-Mail asking what I needed done and what kind of needs I have, so far no help has come, they are now sending me frivolis E-Mails about financing cars, home loans, ETC. I looked into one home improvement loan they offered, it was a scam! I had to replace my cell phone because the place they told me to call hacked my cell phone......

Now most of my contacts are beeing called and hung up on. As well as that I have gotten nothing but junk from them and non of it's useful for a person on a fixed income like me.

I think this company should watch who they reccomend to people, careless, uncaring and certainly NOT Non-Profit!

Oh, by the way, I am prepared to even show you what I've gotten from them, I save everything and have PROOF.

Plus I looked into the BBB ratings, well I got a link to their acctual website report saying that AHR is not accredited! Do you want this link?

http://www.bbb.org/NYC/business-reviews/debt-relief-services/american-hope-settlement-in-jackson-heights-ny-118491/

You see I do Cover my angles every one of them, these people who are saying the "Possitive Prospects" they have experienced through the AHR Company are paid by them to make it look like your lying, how do I know this? I was offered a job a few years ago by them to go and do reviews on other websites, I, for one, don't put much "Hope" or faith in these peoples responses.

Check Your Facts

The most glaring untruth that I see first in your "report" is the F with the BBB. American Hope Resources is not affiliated with the BBB, as are none of the Debt Consolidation companies. I checked that myself when my son went to them for help as they have 3 children and he is the only one with an income.

Secondly, AHR has already negotiated with Bank of America and forestalled foreclosure plus is working with BOA to lower their mortgage payment. I realize this is just a refinance but they are not charging them a dime.

Yes, they do have Blue Sky Financing that they recommend but it isn't any worse than ANY financing place who only deals with people who can't get car loans anywhere else. Maybe you don't realize that people in this situation cannot get help anywhere else and are willing to pay the interest to be able to get a vehicle and work. All you have to do is work to improve your credit and refinance your car elsewhere when you do. Thats what I did and thats what most cosumers in this predicament also do.

Before you trash a company you need to do more research. American Hope Resources DOES help people get back on their feet and they saved my son and his family from certain disaster. I'm sure they aren't perfect but they are certainly not a SCAM.

And I DID search for American Hope Resources on Google and yours is the only negative I saw.

What a Scam company this place is!!

AUTHOR: Word to the wise - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 30, 2010

I answered an ad posted in craigslist, for a sales position.  They responded back, telling me they had incoming leads daily and it was the greatest sales opportunity ever.  The place is a complete joke!  They tell you that it's commission only and you will be a 1099 indpendent contractor AFTER you show up for your first day!  Which is totally illegal by the way.  You're using their office, under their direction, and control.

These guys are ripping people off in their most vulnerable time.  They promote a FREE service, then turn it into a bait and switch.  This so called membership fee is actually a $3,000 loan mod, that they promise no results with.  SCAM!  Stay away from these rip off con artists.  I felt so bad for the people they are scamming that I walked out with my head down before the first day was over.

I have no idea how these greedy, opportunistic, self indulged, people can sleep at night!  Criminals is what they are.  The COO claims to be an ex-cop, the guy should throw himself in jail.

Yes, Financial hope for America is a scam!

AUTHOR: Consumer Advocate - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, March 29, 2010

The above "Client is probably a company shrill touting lies. Why? Because Financial Hope for America was refused a desigation as a 5013c nonprofit corporation. That is the beginning of the end for that scam company. Infact, They are really a disguise for Certified financial Protection Group. Both of them have an "F" rating on the BBB. Both of them have rip-off reports and complaints from many consumers who didnt get their promised results or their money back. This "non-profit charges $3000 to help when other non-profits do it for free. Dont be fooled by their lies about being a non-profit. Dont walk, run from them...

My Results speak for themselfs

Somewhat confused by the above post. I ask checked and they are a registered nonprofit Org. with the US Treasury Dept.

Also check with the DOJ in California and they are licensed and bonded to do this work.

Seem like the above person is maybe upset or pushing something else for other reasons that being truthful as they ask for a membership fee and then a monthly payment for a whole range of services .Three of which I am currently using.

Yes you  can go thru you bank. CNN has thousands of stories of how the bank has screwed over homeowners and not helped them at all I know I am one of them tried working with the bank for 9 fricking months Only to be told sorry.

Lawyers yep, done that as well cost me 2800.00 and got billed every month for more hrs till it hit 5000 and got no where said enough of that.

Went with this group after checking with the Dept of Justice and they are legit. Down side it took longer then I wanted about 5 months but the told me 3-6 months and I got around 34% reduction in my monthly payment. I am also ding property taxes program with them as well as debt relief.

All of which I would have had to pay more lawyers or others firms even more money to help. SO over all I give them a 8 out of 10. I got results when the bank so no and the lawyers wanted more and more
