Get a life and stop being a troll on the internet. Stop being grumpy because you probably got fired for lack of sales and personality. This is the only thing you can do with your time? Trolling sites and posting negativity on a site that really has no legal hold on a business? Where is your own business at? Grow up.

This is all true!  I have seen it first hand!  They are not the only ones doing it.  Not only is all of that going on, but they have agents doing esignatures for their clients too!  Everything going on in there is illegal!

Just to be clear...

I was searching for information on this company since they are soliciting my business.

It is true that the company has an A- rating from the BBB, BUT here is what the BBB has to say:

"First Family Insurance Inc. is not BBB Accredited.

Businesses are under no obligation to seek BBB accreditation, and some businesses are not accredited because they have not sought BBB accreditation.

To be accredited by BBB, a business must apply for accreditation and BBB must determine that the business meets BBB accreditation standards, which include a commitment to make a good faith effort to resolve any consumer complaints. BBB Accredited Businesses must pay a fee for accreditation review/monitoring and for support of BBB services to the public."

- See more at: bbb.org/west-florida/business-reviews/insurance-agency/first-family-insurance-in-fort-myers-fl-90076163#reasonrating

It bothers me that a compnay that has not sought BBB accreditation would boast about its (default) BBB rating.

That seems to be less than forthright and it gives me pause when considering whether or not to respond to their solicitations.

I stand by my original report

First Family is claiming this report was filed by someone working for another company trying to compete with them & to make things hard for Tyler & Christina. They claim the report is false. I stand by my statement that they DO exactly what I said (or at least they did - unless they have changed their practices). They do not have non licensed people fielding calls and transferring them to licensed agents. They let unlicensed people sell under a supervisors number. I'm glad it made people question their business practices because how they run their place is not legal.

False claims by a competitor

AUTHOR: FFI - ()

Unfortunatly, this site allows anyone to make such statements and false claims without verifying the source.  This statement (which they left their name as Annonomous) was filled by a competitior. An agent that is now working for another insurance coming trying to compete with our business and trying to make it difficult for Tyler and Christina.

Our company has an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau. We offer high paying hourly jobs in a time and area that is highly affected by the declining economy. We do have jobs available for Licensed Agents and also Non Licensed Employees to help with the work flow.  Any employee that is not yet licensed has to opportunity to learn the business and help answer and transfer calls to licensed agents.

Once this false statement was posted, it has caused our company to answer questions as we look to bring in new employees to the area.  We have reached out to RipOff report, with a response that we would need a court order to have it removed or pay money.  We have also been solicited by companies asking us for over $5,000 to try and "bury" the report.

We ask anyone looking at our company to consider the source of this review and false claims.  This site has no credibility.  I was sent this response from a lawyer as to how this is even legal in the first place:

Well, Ripoff Report claims it is immune from liability due to a federal law known as the Communications Decency Act. This law says that websites are not liable for the content posted on their websites by third parties. (The law makes sense to a degree—if every time a person defamed another person in a Yahoo! chat room imposed legal liability on Yahoo!, there would be no chat rooms.)

Unfortunately, the law also protects websites like Ripoff Report that refuse to remove illegal content even after receiving notice that certain content posted on their sites is false, the original author of the offending content requests its removal, or a court of law declares the report defamatory.

This can be very frustrating, especially when both parties request the removal of the offending content. Ripoff Report’s argument is that if they allowed parties to remove postings, it would create a means for big companies to bully consumers into submission.
