My wife and I attended the intro seminar presented by Mr. Sperry, signed up for the 3-day June 12-14th, 2007 in Studio City, with Linda Wolf as the presenter. Both presentation were professionally done and impressive as most people (over 300) in attendance stayed for all 3 days.

During the presentation there were many support staff to talk with and confirm some of the representations from the speaker and to answer other questions about the materials being presented and educational services offered. After confirming that the 2 classes we were most interested in (advanced options and advanced technical training) had multiple formats, i.e. live classes in our area at least once a quarter, live webiners on a monthly basis, a helpful support staff to call at the home office and most importantly on-line on demand prerecorded training classes (as we frequently travel internationally and need to access the courses from anywhere at anytime), we signed a contract for appx. $14,000.

None of the software packages were available at the site so all had to be shipped. Within the next 2+ weeks we received individual packages, each with either a manual for the course or software CD (ISI2 Robot and Metastock). Concurrently we checked out the Income Strategies Institute/Grow Rich Stay Rich (ISI/GRSR) website and found that there were no on-line on demand classes, no live classes in our area in the scheduled future and no CD-ROM formats. The only class format available at that time was the monthly webiners of which the July webiner was the first available.

The ISI/GRSR welcome package contained a letter stating that GRSR would be emailing the passcodes to register and attend the webiner. That did not happen, so I emailed registration and spoke to Daniel in customer service on the first day of class to get these passcodes to attend the class. Daniel said I would get them prior to the start of class, they never came. The next day I called ISI/GRSR c.s. again and spoke to Daniel who said the website was under construction and the links did not work. I would need to cut and paste an email again to get the passcode to attend the 2nd night of the 3-night class. He also said it was my fault for trying to register so late.

I did as instructed and emailed for the codes only to get they the next morning and missing the second night of the 3-night class. I emailed and called Daniel in ISI/GRSR customer service which was becoming more and more frustrating as he became very rude to myself and my wife refusing to offer an apology or options other then to wait till next month's classes. This was unacceptable and we considered it a breach of the contract as non-performance of services as agreed. We never attended classes and after returning the materials received them back with instructions that if we sent them to ISI/GRSR again they would again be returned.

To date (11/29/2007), we have been battling my credit card companies to credit the accounts supported with over 40 pages of documentation. They have given conditional credits and then reversed them when ISI/GRSR gives a response with the same answer they gave to us "you signed a contract and want to cancel after the 3-day cancelation period". At appears that no one at the credit card companies are even analyzing the documentation that supports our case.

We are willing to be part of a class action suit against this merchant as it appears there are MANY others who have found themselves in the same position. Also, does anyone have experience in forcing the credit card companies to protect their card holders? Are there any other steps we can take? If I find out any more on how to get our $$ back, I will post it to help others in similar positions.

Credit Card companies will not help card holders

AUTHOR: California Consumer - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, December 04, 2007

Terry,

I am in the similar situation. ISI charged $3500 on my credit card (Discover) and refused to refund me the money. I filed dispute to Discover and they originally credit me back "conditionally" just like you said. However, they decided to side with the merchant (ISI) and charged me back the same amount after they received a electronic receipt that is printed BY ISI and without my signature. Credit card company said that it is between the merchant and myself and would not get involved. I do not know what to do next unless all of us victims gather up and file a class law suit against this fradulent company.

Please keep me posted/informed if any of us is preparing a law suit. Thanks.
