I purchased CentralProtect Home Service Plan from HomeSure Services, Inc. (Cross Country Home Services, Inc. (CCHS)) of Ft Lauderdale, FL, which as per the agreement provides repair and/or replacement coverage up to $15,000 per year for a heating system that performs the same primary function, and has a "Capacity Comparable with the covered item [my heater]". 

The contract states in bold print in section one titled "BASIS FOR COVERAGE"  We agree to paid the covered costs [Claim: Agreement Aggregate: $15,000] to repair or replace the items listed as covered on your Agreement Coverage Summary…

When my heater could not be repaired, HomeSure's written response was "The Company has approved the maximum allowed of up to $1,000.00 towards the replacement of your boiler."  This letter then references a sentence in the contract that unequivocally contradicts the rest of the contract and all three of their unsolicited marketing pieces that they had mailed me.  The Agreement Coverage Summary page of the contract and the contract clearly states that the Home Service Plan covers up to $15,000 Annual Claim Limit.  The so-called $1,000 limitation is NOT stated in the “GENERAL EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS” section of the contract but the $15,000 limit is.

NOWHERE is the $1,000 limitation stated in the Sales Literature but the $15,000 limit is stated.  The estimated cost for the 29% smaller replacement of my Oil Fired Steam Boiler is $8,100 not $1,000.
