This is the complaint letter which i had typed up

Reason for this letter, would be first to terminate the account and service with Innovative Merchant Solutions Company for the credit card machine, and second to file a complaint.

Person writing this letter would be the son of the mother that runs the small business, because she has a minimum understanding of English.

Two salesmen Ben and Andres had came to our small store and explained that they were sent from the credit card company, to fix some errors that were made in the first contract with the original credit card company for the credit card machine. They explained that they were from the SAME credit card company that was providing service, due to some errors that were made they were here to FIX the errors, even brought up the companys files, previous salesmans name, said they were just here to fix the error. My mother who had a minimum amount of understanding in English had witnesses such as the store customers; they had heard the same words of which the two salesmen said. Paperwork was being done, my mother was instructed how to fill out the application and all she had to do was sign the papers, and they were very convincing even told her that the monthly fee is lowered and that the first salesmen had scammed her. They called a reprehensive to talk with my mother to confirm the contract and as proof, they told my mother to say yes to every question, and everything would be done in a breeze. Yesterday the company called and asks my mother to insert the PIN into the credit card machine, but it could not be done, so company said that the machine was probably broken, and they would send a new credit card machine today January 10th 2008. While we were on the phone with the company we had asked again if they were the same company that was providing service, but they said no, this is a new different company.That is when we had realized that they were two completely DIFFERENT companies, and we had basically been scammed, we wish to close the account and services from Innovative, and please note that we will NOT pay for the termination fee, and the two salesmen even said IF we wish to cancel our account and services this will all be free.

The sales people who are in the field are independent. We have the 3rd party confirmation calls to ensure that what the merchant has been told is the correct information, including asking the merchant if he/she is aware that they are applying for a NEW credit card processing account. If the applicant says NO, then we do not accept the application for processing and the account is not established. We have added such safeguards into the process to make sure only those merchants who truly want our business are applying; however, we require the assistance of the customer by answering honestly to the questions so we can determine when there is a problem.
