I saw this advertisment on the computer about a woman who made thousands of dollars on the internet in approximately three to four months. ( I forgot the exact time frame) The advertisement suggested that we could do the same if we click on the link to their website for more info. The link took me to  www.icmwebsites .com.At this website I was asked to fill out an information form giving name address phone  no and  I am not sure if it asked for SS no but I was a bit cautious. I know it asked for DR. liscene # the reason being that they would set up a merchant account for you. This was necessary to accept credit card payments. I refrain from giving those info. But it mentioned giing your credit card info to pay postage for the info which would be mailed to you. so I did.  That card is now closed. . I did receive the info in the mail. When I received my statement I noticed that they took out $139.00 when I called the no on the info booklet and inquired why this was done, I was told that it's a one time fee to set my website and that they would email me the necessary info to access the website and set it up. No where in the info it mentioned a fee for website set up or in the application process. I was even told That I could use PayPal as a method to collect payment on the site. I asked how much products were on the site they said thousands. It sounded good so I promised myself that I would check for the mail, but I got busy with so many other things and forgot. You see Iam a 69yr old USA veteran, who suffers from depression and I procrastinate a lot. So important things do get left behind a lot. However after about two months or so I finally checked the email and found no such info. I again called and was again told that it was sent and to check the spam. I checked about two weeks later and there was nothing there. I called back again and this time a gave a different  email addres that I kow is functional, I was also told this time that they were collecting either $4 or $9.00 monthly for website maintance; and this had been on going. I explained that this was not right, because I did not have access to the website. The youngman said that he would wait a few days. Since then I closed the card because of another incident, not early enough because he collected $9.00. The email never arrived.  I still have the old card.

DO NOT GIVE YOUR FINANCIAL INFORMATION TO SOMEBODY ON THE INTERNET

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, September 28, 2010

THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF THE OLDEST INTERNET SCAMS EVER!

NOBODY MAKES THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS LEGITIMATELY ON THE INTERNET THREE TO FOUR MONTHS OR AT ANY TIME! NOBODY.

JUST LIKE IN THE PRE-INTERNET DAYS, NOBODY MADE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM ASSEMBLYING PRODUCTS AR HOME OR ADDRESSING POSTCARDS AT HOME.

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.

WHEN NEED AND GREED SUPERCEDE COMMON SENSE, YOU ARE GOING TO GET IN TROUBLE.

YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHO IS SITTING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THAT COMPUTER.

FOR ALL YOU KNOW, YOU JUST GAVE OUT YOUR CREDIT CARD AND/ OR BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER TO THE TALIBAN OR SOME TERRORIST GROUP. AND THEY CAN EMPTY IT OUT BEFORE YOU REALIZE THAT IT WASN'T TOO BRIGHT AN IDEA TO HAVE DONE THIS.

THIS WAS JUST A SCAM TO CON MONEY FROM YOU.
