I was going through a Divorce 4 years ago and lost my Truck. I travel 300 days a year and needed a dependable vehicle and had no other choice but to use JD Byrider I was told that they would stand by the vehicle and took them at their word.  The First week I had the vehicle it would not start. I was out of town and JD made me TOW my vehicle to a service center. The Fuel Pump had gone out. I had to have this vehicle towed 3 times and exceeded my AAA Towing for a year in the first 6 weeks of owning this vehicle. Fuel Pump went out 3 times. JD didn’t care that I had to rent cars and paying for towing all they wanted was their payment and kept reminding me of NO Grace Periods. After owning the vehicle for 3 months I needed Rear Tires, now there were new tires on the vehicle when I bought it I chucked it up to maybe it was sitting for a while before they found a sucker (ME) to purchase the vehicle. So I bought 2 new tires and had the front put on the back and put the new on the rear. After a couple of months I was buying new tires again. I started thinking something wasn’t right. After buying tires every 3 months I recently found a garage that has showed me where my rear axle is warped where it runs the outside of the tires off. JD Byrider has looked at this several times and told me it was where I was buying cheap tires and that the rear shocks and front end alignment was all out.  Since when is Firestone a Cheap Tire?  We have to get vehicle emission testing every year to re new our tags every year it won’t pass. The Cadillac Converter has been replaced twice "That’s Once a Year" both times at my cost. They kept it in the shop the first year for almost 3 weeks where again I had to rent a car. And Pay almost $800 for vehicle repairs this go around.  I have receipts for the first year alone I had spent with Towing, Rental Cars, Repairs, and Time Off work over $3,000.00 not including the several trips made over 500 miles one way to see if it would pass. So in spending all this extra money and time off work I couldn’t afford the shocks and alignments I needed. 4 Months later I was driving and going to park the vehicle and A Big Pop was heard. It was the Transfer Case exploding causing the Transmission to burn up. This was another $1800.00. Last Year I was traveling from Mobile AL to Raleigh NC and my heater core had busted this was a month after getting it out of the shop to get it to pass for inspection. I went to see if I could get a new vehicle if I had rebuilt my credit. I was told at the dealer that CNAC was reporting but it wasn’t really a good auto credit rebuilder and I needed another 6 months to a year before they could really help me unless I had about $8,000 down plus pay off the JD Car ($2500.00 still owed) and it was going to be really expensive monthly payments. In talking with my Fiancé and my Dad decided to borrow some money against my 401 K and fix the Blazer and hope it would get me through another year. So I borrowed $5000.00 and before it was over I did not have enough money to get the Rear End Fixed  Heater Core was very expensive  intake gasket, shocks, brakes, and on and on and on. Why didn’t JD tell me I had all these problems when they were supposed to be helping with cost due to having problems since I bought the vehicle? I still have to spend $600.00 every 3 months for tires. No I can’t run used they don’t last long at all plus it’s hard to find the tire I need in used. So in adding up the cost. I will have spent almost $30,000.00 for a vehicle that booked at $7,900.00 time of Purchase.  I can’t afford to fight them, I have to keep paying so I can rebuild my credit so I can buy a better vehicle, they call me every due date wanting to know when I will be coming in. Am I late sometimes? Yes Because I have to keep the vehicle on the road.   I have asked them over and over to get me in another vehicle.  I have proof this vehicle was a wreck and was put back together very cheap and sold to me. All they want is their payment. Its Extortion what it is If I let it get reposed I have to start all over again so Hopefully Someone will see this and NOT buy a car from them and save themselves it’s too late for me but maybe not for you. Oh By the way they found a way to start charging me interest daily instead of monthly all this due to me having to pay maintance cost daily to keep it running.

A Country Song?

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

I was reminded of the Johnny Cash hit, "One Piece At A Time".  You didn't mention what make or model car you bought but I was wondering if a special adaptor kit was required for that "CADILLAC CONVERTER".
