Members Edge Voice Mail Billed via phone bill for voice mail I did not sign for or use Ripoff Teaneck New Jersey

A customer rep from AT@T told me today that I was being billed for an answering service that had nothing to do with AT@T, and I had paid $120 for the past 6 months. He gave me the number to call for Members edge voice mail. I spoke to a rep named floyd. Floyd said I signed up for the service in 11/06 while filling out a survey on line. I asked him for proof and he said they had all my personal information, so I must have signed up.

However, he wanted to confirm my mothers maiden name as Muzzall, which is not true. He had other info correct as my date of birth but when I questioned the maiden name, he said people make up some name all the time.
I asked if there was any record of my ever using the service. He said its a monthly billing so they would have no records. He claims I was sent an e-mail of a 1-800 number and a passcode. I never saw anything like that. He suggested it was my word against theirs, but would stop the service immediately. However, the $120 was non-negotiable. AT@T said they would put a "dispute" on the last 3 months I was charged.
I know this is a scam as the exact same thing has occurred to others. I have sent a complaint to the BBB.
