After becoming a student at a nearby school I would go here every now and then. But  not anymore! A pakistani man (sorry not sure about his ethnicity) at the register was so rude and just took my money right after I said to him I didn't want the food anymore!

So I was getting some of the hot food they have in their buffet area. I came to the cashier and tried to pay for my food with my debit card. He said there was a $8.00 minimum to use a card. First time ever hearing that. (Before I was told the minimum was $5.00 by another cashier...I don't know why that night it was $8.00.) I didn't have the cash so I just told him sorry I can't buy it BUT the guy kept holding  onto my card trying to get me to buy more stuff to make it $8.00. I kept saying no. Then he said I could buy it with my card if he took off the school discount which would add about 40 cents to my total (making it a little bit over $7...like around $7.20 or so). I thought that was ok until he weighed it a second time and it turned out the scale added much more than 40 cents to the final price (he even joked about how the scale made it cost more this time). This time, the final price was $7.74. At that point I just said no I don't need it especially seeing that the scale has a mind of its own.  He got angry and just swiped my card anyway saying that it's my fault for taking the food out in the first place! That I HAD to buy it because no one would buy food that was already placed in those take out boxes. That it will just be thrown away. I kept arguing with him but it was useless. He just kept asking me why did I pick out the food in the first place. Why? Because I wanted to eat it UNTIL you decide to charge me whatever because my food didn't make the $8.00 minimum!

Definitely not coming back. I know that I didn't lose a lot of money (thank goodness) but his manners were just terrible! You don't hold onto a person's credit or debit card after you told the customer that they can't pay with their card because they are not buying enough food! It's like he purposefully held onto my card trying to get me to buy more things and even when I told him at the end "no" he swipes my card anyway like I owed him for picking up the food in the first place. I understand that it may be an inconvience for his store to pick some food to-go from the buffet and then decide to not buy it and leave it there. But it's not my problem! I know for a fact that other customers leave food that they didn't buy from the buffet sitting around in the store. I just was unlucky because the cashier had my debit card! Afterwards, he even told me that I could throw the food away if I wanted to but since I picked out the food already I had to pay regardless of eating the food or not. Other customers have had issues with this place as well such as rude cashiers, cashiers charging customers any price they want (especially on foods without a price on them), food poisoning, overpriced food, etc. Please beware of this place!!
