Credit Acceptance has to do nothing

AUTHOR: Dave - ()

POSTED: Sunday, October 06, 2013

Credit Acceptance is not at fault here.  They didn't sell you the car, the dealership did.  CAC provided you with a loan so you could purchase it.  A loan that had a good deal of risk since you're on a fixed income.

You stated you test drove the car and check it over tires and all.  Now 7 months later when the car has problems you feel the loan company should give you another vehicle or refund you money.  That's not going to happen.

If purchasing tires for the car caused you to fall behind on your utility bills you took out a loan you could not afford.  If you stop paying the loan being on a limited, fixed income there is little CAC would be able to do to collect the amount owed to them.

The only other option would be to sell the car. If it doesn't sell for enough to pay off the balance (call for an accurate pay off) you would need to make up the difference.
