homestreet movers first call movers WORST EXP. OF MY LIFE !! I AM 67 YEARS OLD !! sunrise Florida

this is fair warning. i made the mistake ( like many other people ) of shopping on line for a mover. i am a retired airline pilot and marine veteran that thought i was making a good decision !! after having3 in home estimates for a move to florida for retirement i received a call from home street movers in sunrise fl . the sales,an informed me that they were much cheaper because they did not do in home estimates as the big co's and passed the savings on to their customers .

it sounded good so i forwarded him a copy of my in home estimates and thye were $ 2600.00 less !! since my home sold 2 day's after being on the market to a cash buyer i had to be out , so i booked the move with homestreet movers. this is when the nightmare began they did not show until 3 day's later which forced me to pay rent on my home that i had just sold !! the salesman said it would take 3 day's for delivery, well after calling for a week i got every story known to man fron non english speaking woman !!

finall the driver called and said he would be ther on thursday ( 11 day's late ) he came to my haome and we sat at the koitchen table where i had my receipt . he said that it was not correct and that my belongings weighed 40 % more than the salesman calculated !! they wanted another$ 2900.00  !!! after 2 hours of bickering with him and the office at homestreet movers i could see i would need an attorney , so i had no choice buy to pay him by bank check only !!

a couple day's later i started to investigate this co and found that they were previously first call mover !! when i investgated them i could see the whole scam !! when i gooled first call movers it was like a christmas tree lighting up  !! hundreds of complaints from every state in the country .they simply keep changing their name and continue scamming people !! i than learned from my attorney they are under investigation from the dept of transportation and ever earned a warning on the today morning show !! this is fair warning that everything i said was thruthfull , use a moving co that is somewaht local .don't use a moving " broker " as this co. that dosnt own 1 truck !!
