there is 2 parts to this scam.1st i gave the salesman 1500 dollars for a deposit when i got there he had sold the truck, they had my deposit so i had to pick another truck because the one they had for me was leaking oil on the bottom and i would not accept it.

they had my deposit money so i went looking for another truck, every truck i like he would always say it had a deposit on it untill i got down to 2 trucks i got the better of the 2,i paid 3500 dollars for a 2 year 200,000 mile warranty that turned out later to be a scam, this guy had did so much to me i am a african american.

this is what got him caught.when i signed paperwork i signed application for warranty, aggreement with bank and purchase order with warranty,he told me he would  make copies and give it to me later,i have bought trucks before so i kept asking for the itemizetd warranty telling me what the warranty covers,he kept telling me they had not sent it,when time to go he still said they had not sent it he would email it to me,it do not take 5 minutes to fax something i was not leaving without the warranty i did not get the truck i wanted.

i decided to look in my paperwork and i found the original purchase order that said no warrant but it had the 3500 dollars on it so they would have collected the money for the warranty and i would have to pay money back but there was no warranty if i would have pulled off the lot he would have throwed fraud paperwork in garbage and i would have nothing to show in court to fight it,

i am looking for others that this have been done too, tell your attorney to pull this police report because i caught this salesman and filed charges on him jefferson ga police department 12-05-09358 the police department will not investigate these people when i called about it they tell me it has beene i need  turned over to a detective who is always out to lunch whatever that meant and he never would call me back,i have filed with the bbb,consumer.gov all give me the same answer they do not investigate busnesses.

2nd part when i made this salesman give me a warranty it was american truck protection out of new jersey, the truck i had was a lemon useing 4 to 5 gallons of oil when i got it  but i showed ths warranty to a shop and they knew about these people, the way the warranty work you have got to agree  to open the motor and let the shop take the head off and take pictures and they decide whether they will fix it or not.it will cost and average of 3000 dollars to put the truck back together if they deny the repair.you will have 3 options when they deny you fix the truck yourself, leave the truck there and walk away which most drivers do and they repair truck and put it back on lot,or put it back together not fixed,on 5\15 the truck blew the #6 piston i made the service manager put everything in writeing they took pictures and i took them and i was denied the repair of piston and i was given a letter that if i do not adress the problem i no longer have a warranty on the pistons and rings i have the truck as evidence i am out of busness now but i have filed with bbb in new jersey and attorney general under scam but all both are together i am looking for others to push for a criminal investigation please reply.

I am going to send this to a newspaper and tv the actual paperwork proving everything i wrote. To whom wrote this reply you must forgot about the criminal threat letter wrote to me from norcross ga from corporate office telling that i had 10 days to sign more paperwork or you would put the truck out as stolen.

It was a direct lie i was making payments on the truck, since the police department would not reply to me i had to call ooiada.I want to send special thanks to carl from ooiada cause when these people threaten me he got straight on the phone and i never heard from them again, whatever he told her it must a really hurt,to think that you were a big pit bull but turned out you were a poodle had to run in the corner with your tail tuck between your legs.

So if you want to call ooida a lie do so and i will be happy to give carl a call and then you tell him to his face that it never happen.   This was the only time i put the truck in the shop and ask the warraty people to help.I have the work order saying it had a bad piston and on the warranty says that 15,000 dollars is available to fix your motor for 9700 dollars you could rebuild my motor and why right now i am out of busness.the warranty is good till 4/2014 but they would not fix the truck,i took pictures when the mechanic crank the truck up it was smoking and missing,It was so bad he had to hurry up and turn it off for smoking up the shop.On the warranty clearly states piston and rings are covered if they failed so why am i now out of busness?what happen to the money that is suppose to be available on this warranty, and do they do this to everyone or is it cause i am a african american and you were suppose to get away with it?Feel free to check the truck when it left the shop i was never able to use it again.

These allegations simply are not true.

AUTHOR: Peach State Freightliner - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, August 13, 2013

There is absolutely no legitimate complaint being lodged by Mr. Owens to resolve.  In no way shape or form has Mr. Owens provided an accurate depiction of his transaction with us.  We completely deny all the allegations made by Mr. Owens.  In fact, we believe that Mr. Owens has slandered our company.  Peach State Freightliner has been in business since 1974.  We sell over 5,000 trucks a year and are considered to be one of the largest and most reputable truck dealerships in the country.

If you read through Mr. Owen’s comments, it’s not hard to realize he was not “scammed” in any form or fashion.  Mr. Owens has gone out of his way to spread these slanderous statements. Yet,  at Mr. Owens’ own admission, there has been no agency willing to take this on.  The reality of it is, IF Mr. Owens had been scammed, each and every agency he has contacted would be pursing some type of action against our company.  There is just nothing there.

First of all, Mr. Owens did give us a deposit to hold a truck until he got here, which we did.  When he arrived, Mr. Owens turned that truck down and decided to purchase a different truck instead.  No scam there!

Mr. Owens did purchase a 3rd party warranty through us.  Each time we use this company, they mail the paperwork directly to the customer.  That was not to Mr. Owens’ liking, so the salesperson asked the warranty company to expedite the paperwork and fax to us before Mr. Owens left with his truck.  No scam there!

Lastly Mr. Owens claims repairs were denied on his truck.  The fact of the matter is, American Truck Protection did cover at least one repair on this truck.  American Truck Protection (www.atpwarranty.com) is a widely used warranty company for heavy duty trucks.  Their website (as well as the documents Mr. Owens has) spells out exactly what parts are covered under the warranty.  If American Truck Protect denied any additional repairs to the engine,  that simply means the failure was not a covered item.  Again, no scam there!

Consumers reading this-please realize there are two sides to every story.  As stated earlier, Peach State Freightliner has been in business for nearly 40 years.  Obviously our company has not lasted that long or been so successful by scamming our customers
